I can't stay quiet any longer! The lag is excellent!Follow

Dear SE,

I bought FFXIV first day release. Played for the first 3 weeks and quit. I could not stand the lag: sluggish interaction with NPCs, tedious crafting menus, slow retainer management etc etc. I've just returned to Eorzea to start a brand new character on a brand new server. I've convinced a friend who had played on a different server to join me this time too! :)

I am very happy to report that the lag has drastically improved!! I really hope this sort of speedy UI and responsive latency continues to improve! Whatever you guys have done it has worked! I'm enjoying FFXIV much, much more. This may also be because for once I'm playing duo with a friend and we're having a blast in the Limsa Lominsa region!

I look forward to further UI improvements like drag & drop, easier macro settings, more solid/clearer battle UI, and multiple windows!

Keep up the great work! Can't wait for more great stuff!

They changed some of the options and made some of them independent, so you have more control over the settings that affect your performance. They did also improve things, but they are very quiet about what they do to improve it, just realizing that it gets better every patch.

Also the new Nvidia drivers have made a huge difference, I'm sure a lot of the work going into making FFXIV better is SE and Nvidia working it out together.
