Greetings,

Not going to do a wall of text, no one wants to read that! I will say shortly that we need to come together and find a way to get SE to pay attention to the specifics of why this game isn't successful, the only way we will do that is to create a large sheet for them to read and consider; this is very easily done. (Pardon if this idea has happened already)We do this by people saying 5 of the most game breaking things, then averaging out and prioritizing which of the things we unanimously need to change.

How a sheet could also be used: When they do polls, refer to the sheet, be a good citizen and pick the thing that most people hate as your answer, even if you want to click on something like 'I want new classes', bottom line is an MMORPG will never get better without subscribers to fund it! So for everyone to get what they want, everyone needs to have a clear message so that Yoshi P can get the game straight like he wants to do! (SE was hurt very hard in stocks by FFXIV's failure, I wouldn't say it's a far cry that this game might actually get literally shut down because they cannot afford to run it.)

I'll start by stating my own issues:)

-1:) Repairing. Inconvenient, doesn't challenge me, bores me and makes me log out of the game because I'm too tired to press any buttons anymore. Get rid of durability altogether, hasn't helped this game at all, has only hurt it. In fact, any penalties incurred for simply playing the game just need to go right now. This is a dead concept that people will quit over for sure.

-2:) Skills. Petty it may seem, but be honest, Pugilist is the only class that has overly interesting skills, I don't know how that occurred. I personally prefer Gladiator, but I know that aside from Luminous Spire (which is useless mostly "endgame"), my entire class will never see anything remotely cool as Seismic Shock, Simian Thrash etc. FFXI's classes were made very interesting by each bringing something unique, visually and audibly appealing to the table, something worthy enough to labor level x to x for after you already did it umpteen times before, that value simply isn't present in XIV at the moment. Also to note, for Marauder, it's crying shame to read awesome sounding abilities like Godsbane, Storm's Path, or the Lancer's Moonrise, Chaos Thrust and then have your heart sink when you see them realizing that you spent all the time leveling to have your sense of taste insulted by this lack of creativity (or effort). Though I think Yoshi P mentioned changing the classes around, so, go Yoshi.

-3:) Transport. Give us Chocobos, and I don't want to raise one either unless I can do this in a 24 Hour period and if you make me raise my Chocobo, don't give me a limit to how many times I can summon it, make it a simple; you may not use this in combat. Also, let THM or CON have portals etc (or Arcanist when or if it actually comes.). Any die hard MMO fan knows that reaching level x and getting x mount is one of the most rewarding things to this day across all mmo's, it's simply tragic that XIV lacks that reward. It also compliments the image of a hero to have a proud, strong beast to carry him across Eorzea.

-4:) Crafting. This one's a sensitive one. Crafting in XIV is beautiful, but it's also terrible. I get it SE, I really do, logically, an Armorer cannot create a breastplate simply by smelting, hammering etc some metal, they would need to use some leather to link it together (and also to insulate it and not kill the person wearing it etc). But, this is an mmorpg--emphasis on the GAME part, we don't want to spend our whole lives making 1 item. Let armorers make their own crafts independently of other classes and same for the rest of the crafts. You want joint projects? Let us build a fortress using all the crafts! Or let us make a boat like I know you were planning.

-5:) Leve Quests, Questing in General. Take the timer off leve quests, and then replace that by making Party and Solo leves, switch that timer over to party leves. Problem solved. I can solo quest to fill my time while waiting for buddies to log on, and then we can quest together in epic Party Leves that cannot possibly be solo'd (stressing that last part). If you're worried people will level too fast, just put static caps, q.e.d, only do 30 leves at x camp, 30 at the next, so on and so forth (like other MMO's do it).

That about wraps it up!

I don't mind the crafting system too much or crafting a craft or two. But I really hate the repair system and rather have them scrap it then improve it. Just the thought of my gear constantly falling apart makes me not want to log in.
