Its kinda tedious to level all the crafts just so you can level your main class, the repair requirement should be half the optimal rank for the class.

Item's Optimal Rank 34 > Repair level 17.

also, multiple class should be able to repair it, since you need multiple class to make up all the ingredients.

Brass Gladius > Repair classes: Armorer(brass rivets)/Blacksmith(blade head)/Goldsmith(grip)

"Seek for Repair" helps but whether an item gets repaired or not is not in your hands. These changes will help lower the amount of players running around with Red circle beside their name.

In my opinion, this would be a great thing. It's an easy rule and it makes repair much more accessible to people casually playing the game.

I agree with the multiple crafts to repair a given item. I was extremely disappointed to learn that I couldn't repair my brass gladius with my rank 20 blacksmith.

I don't have much issue with the current formula for repairs though. 10 ranks for nq items isn't bad... I don't think I'd like all these rank 25 people running around in cavalry haubergeons able to repair them at rank 24 armorer...

Even if low level people running around with high gear items just so they can repair them, they will not be getting full benefit of the gears, also that would be an easy way to see who is a good player and who is not.

I see your point, but let's pretend for an instant that you actually liked crafting. What are you willing to concede to the DOH players to get this request done who would be giving up their necessity and livelihood? More expensive mats? Must be done in cities? Something else?

IMO, something like this is inevitable, but hopefully SE holds off just cutting the requirements until something "clever" can be done with the solution. They could remove all repairs today if they wanted to, but that changes in a complex way the way the "world works."

Multi-class repairing seems like a small, reasonable compromise.
