il190 40 dex 34 det 25 skill speed

or

il200 43 dex 39 acc 28 skill speed

is the loss of 34 det really worth a mere 3 dex, especially when youre already well passed the a4s ACC cap so you dont really need the 39 acc?

an the il200 can b upgraded to get il210 :

Dexterity +47
Accuracy +44
Skill Speed +30

so thats an extra 7 more dex, +44 acc that you dont really need and 30 skill speed

Now on paper if that were the other route to il210, the obviously thats gonna be better than sticking with an il190 accessory til 3.2, but if theres an il210 accessory you think is better than the il210 i listed above would it be better to stick with the il190 accessory until you get the better il210 one you actually DO want or should you waste the time (and tokens) getting that il210 accessory you DONT want until you can swap it out for eh one you DO want?

Or is keeping that 34 det much better than +3 more dex, +3 skill speed and +39 acc that you dont need, which in two weeks can turn to +7 dex +5 more acc that you dont need and +2 skill speed.

So basically should I keep prototype gordian neck of aiming until I get gordias neck of aiming or should I bother upgrading from prototype gordian neck of aiming to ardent necklace of aiming then upgrade that to fables necklace of aiming until i finally get gordias necklace of aiming?

What you're mostly looking at is the Weapon Damage and Primary Stat above all. Food can easily make up for any loss Det/Crit for the most part between 190/200, it's 200/205/210 you have to worry about, as accessories and gear have a bit more wiggle room.

So 40-43 Dex? Not THAT huge..but if the weapon damage is +2-+3 or so? Yeah you'd immediately go for the i200 weapon. While chances are you won't need that accuracy most likely, when it's upgraded to 210 you're fine until 3.2. Considering accessories are floor 1 which is the easiest to do, I'd honestly suggest going with that if this is your option and you're not trying for Diadem 210 accessories, which can be a grind but far more likely to get the proper 210 accessory.

Since tbh, the Eso and Gordias neck aren't that great but if your main choice is those, I'd go with Gordias and save the eso for maybe a ring. The aiming stuff this cycle honestly isn't that great lol. but the gordian neck I'd go for if your skill speed is already in a decent spot.

So it really depends on the piece of equipment, since 3.2 will also finally introduce new ilvl accessories - So if you do diadem, focus on getting the good Ilvl210s (basically do HM.) but if you're looking at weapons, always prioritize weapon damage and primary stat, then look at the secondaries and work around your other gear.

well yes food would take up the det i might lack but det food PLUS det accessory would make my damage even better right? and I already have all eso items that i want upgraded, so i have plenty ESO tomes left over to waste if getting that eso neck is that important until i can finally get a party that will let me do Savage lol, and yes i have zero interest in Diadem..... purple weapons (or is it pink) and blue armor onry

The only time I ever used a dps meter was WoW, so I don't know if this is true for XIV, but I would assume auto attack damage is going to be your top damage source, so having a higher damage weapon will give you the most benefit.

While true, as MCH and BRD at 60 your Auto Attack gets replaced with casting, so it's a different ballpark then.

In my experience, my 60 BRD is actually really hurting for accuracy in the gear I have unlike all of my other (non-healer) jobs, so you might want to be sure that's not going to be a factor as well.

Since secondary stats got nerfed with 3.x I don't really place a whole lot of stock in them anymore.
