Hi all,

Please contribute and post your goals and accomplishments for the next week! For many of us that means a three day weekend, so we can fit in a bit more progress, hopefully Smiley: tongue

My goals:
1. I absolutely must run alexander before tuesday. I haven't even touched it this week.

2. I've been able to get my daily and pvp in each day so I'm looking at only a very few (100ish) esoterics to cap before tuesday. Gonna give it a few weeks until I figure out what direction I'm going. I even have 10 hive totems just waiting for me to make up my mind. Been hearing terrible things about paladin in A4S and they, sadly, are very right. Don't want to invest energy in something useless. Paladin will rock once the dps gets better with more gear, but for now, paladin is terrible where dps matters. But, bright side is, at least if all else fails I can switch to warrior and I already have the tank gear Smiley: grin

3. The DPS leveling queues on black mage are madness. I'm just going to save it at 58 right now, the job doesn't really interest me like I thought it would. Spent my leveling roulette last night on my warrior. Loving the instaqueue. Going to level warrior right now. I hear great things.

So goal is: cap esoterics, then level the warrior.

My wife and I finished Ifrit and Garuda Hard, and maybe Titan Hard tonight. Ishgard is within our reach!

1. Need to finish A3 and A4 myself. Went 2/2 on bolts on A1 and A2 at least.
2. BLM to 56.
3. DoL classes to 58.
4. Start inching the DoH classes toward 55. Slow, slow going.

I also need to make some gil. Two birthdays in the FC this week meant a lot of fat cats to give out.

Update: We made it! Titan Hard was a pita, as was the next dungeon. Fighting the dragon was a blast!

Real Life Accomplishment:

Got my offer letter for the job I interviewed for last week. Will probably start by the end of the month.

Super stoked about this. It's the same job I had before, just for a pure analyst position instead of project manager in training.

1. Ended up getting alex boots and belt for the blm, picked up a second spring, and haven't yet got my fourth shaft from A4, so I need to do that before Tuesday still.
2. Holding onto the esoterics for now. About 150 from weekly cap. Thinking I may buy the 200 dragoon chestpiece next week for stats, then glamour over its ugliness.
3. Warrior a sliver from 53. Should get faster when they give xp to high level roulettes.

I had no plan this week, but took a totally different tack for a while, and concentrated on levelling low jobs with both characters.

Mostly ARC, ROG , and LNC for Verdha (for the cross-classing mostly), with a major crafting push too -- ALC is now the lowest DoH at 28, and only that low because she's using up all her Leve allowances as they refresh.

Waen is pushing ARC for Quelling Strikes and has decided to dedicated push WVR ahead of the other crafting classes, on the way to getting Careful Synthesis II as a cross-class for everything else before levelling them. She's run out of gil in the process, routinely dropping under 5k, but that's totally consistent with her personality.

I dislike LNC. It's by far my least favorite of the non-tank classes so far, but it has some useful cross-class I need. I like that I can cross-class Goad on it, though. (This is really weird because I was a major DRG in XI. Maybe when I unlock DRG I'll like it then, but LNC is kind of boring and tedious for me.)

I'm with you on lancer, and dragoon doesn't really make it all that much better. I think it's the lack of off global cooldown excitement that some of the other classes have.

Dragoon in XI was an entirely different class - SMN is the closest thing XIV has, oddly enough. Because of the lack of a pet, I think it leaves a solid opening for a future BST class or other melee based pet class
