When referring to Bismark, Cid mentioned my character as "our resident Eikon slayer" when did they start using the word Eikon instead of Primals?

Since always.

'Eikon' is used primarily by characters who hail from Garlemald (you know, home of the Garlean Empire), and Cid is one of those characters. He might not be an antagonist, but his time spent outside of Eorzean proper in Garlemald would justify him using the term.

That's what the garleans call them, and Cid is garlean. No big surprise there.
