I've got my artisan's gear and may be into HW in a couple of weeks. I can do Master Tome I's easily. I'm the type that likes to have all those recipes, but is it worth it? Are there things in those recipes I'll need later down the road? DoH are all 51 now.

If you happen to come across the materials once you get to 60, the Master II books are now much easier to unlock, but nothing I've done so far has required anything from the master books. It's more of a "nice to have."

Thanks Cat, that's what I was thinking.

Keep in mind yoshi has said newer recipes they may drop into previously acquired master books. So it IS good to get because why not, but also just incase yoshi pulls a yoshi and ninjas new stuff into old content.

What's wrong with trying to make old content relevant again? Especially for the more casual crowd who may be several months behind the latest content.

Vertical Progression. Since it'd be kind of like making it to where we'd need a Lucis tool to turn in for a level 60+ progression quest, which would mean going back to grinding 2.3-2.4 crafting content despite as per design, we should be long past that considering your basic HQ tool around 60 is superior to the lucis. So nothing wrong with it, but it'd make more sense to go forward, but yoshi loves to throw a curve ball and take 3 steps back in certain regards sometimes, so even if he doesn't slap new stuff in old tomes this time, it's still a good idea to get all of the master books in case.

Kind of like the new specialist recipes could end up being in one of the older master books or it could be quest related or it could be something you buy with new GC ranks or it's in one of the scrip master books..we'll never know till October.

I am just waiting for him to make desynthing relevant to people other than crafting and gathering in terms of gear or even glamours post 50 glamour gear.

Also Glamour gear a reason to have your tomes. I am not sure about all crafts but there's also materials in some old master crafts that they could start throwing into recipes.

FYI, I peaked into my Level 1 Master Goldsmithing book, and there is in fact a new level 54 recipe lurking in there.
