restricted to level 60 only.. i would hate for the il1130 you work for right now to get replaced by dungeon gear you get from dungeon you do in the story leading up from 50-60... especially since dungeons and story are supposed to be "easy" so that EVERYONE can do it.... soo the gear from easy dungeons will be better than the gear from hard content you had to work for that even now some people STILL cant do? that would be a let down

Yoshi P said that 130 will be good through level 55 and will be enough to get you through to 60, but at 60, yeah it'll get replaced. Oh well!

That's right. At some point you have to start getting better stuff. We already know that Tomestone of Law gear will be i170. So there has to be some kind of progression up to there. You aren't just going to go from 130 to 170.

Tomestome of Esoterics will be up there. Only Yasha gear is confirmed to be i170. They also confirmed the ilvl jump is a lot higher than 2.x's ilvl jumps, so instead of 100 > 110/115 > 120 > 130/135 it'll be 135 > 150+ > 170 > 190 (exampled.)

Tomestone of Law is the 3.0 Darklight gear, so it'd likely be 150 range. They said 130 is too high and will last you but 110 is more than enough for 3.0.

I personally would not care either way. Leveling is so fast in XIV that even if it were the best right up until 60 you won't be using it for very many hours anyway.

Only frustrating thing is my Relic. Having finished it and knowing that it will be soon a waste of time.....

Oh well at least I can say - I've done it.

If Heavensward means that I'm going to be using the exact same gear I've been wearing for the last 3-4 months for another few months, I'm going to be disappointed.

I don't care how much "work" I supposedly put into getting it, I want new things to work towards. Luckily it sounds like we're getting it.

If you have weapons from T9, hold onto them for glamour. Pretty soon you and only 0.05% of the population will have them.

Yoshida said i110 is plenty, meaning Second coil and unweathered soldiery gear is plenty for HW, meaning gear you've realistically used for the last yearish. Anythin higher is overkill till Esoterics and Alexander Savage (Hard mode) comes out.

I've been sitting at iL102 for months. Wouldn't bother me.

We now know why you have to finish MSQ to get to Ishgard. The NPC vendors are selling level 50 iLvl 115 stuff.
