Please do direct us to the link that confirms that. that wold be ubsurd (and high unbalanced) if 10 levels takes as long as 50 did. Sounds like a F2P Korean MMO grind. Also 1-50 isnt a joke? Ummm ever heard of levequests and having 100 allowances? I can plow a job from 1 to 50 in one sitting... thats a joke, the leve quests alone will get you to 40-45 before you run outta those allowances.
Also you dont need to play something to have a good idea of where its going.. how many books, movies or tv series have you read or watched and figured out the ending before making is that far? exactly
For some one that seems to have real hatred with XIV why are you even here? I mean really? Talk to NPC well that's normal for about every single RPG game going back to the /move up /move right /trade <insert item name> /person talks......
"You don't need to play something to have a good idea to where its going"
You do if its a game that gets developed. That's a fact regardless what YOU think, if you compare to a movie the best one to compare would be a large Trilogy. Did people see Batman Begins turn in to The Dark Knight? No. Instead everyone went mad at their Joker choice and I don’t need to say what happened next.
Comparing a movie that you are watching, a Book that you read to a game that you PLAY...
Thing is with a book or a movie, once its printed, finished at the book shelf or the cinema - there is no going back. Unless you do what movies do - Reboots/remakes.
With XIV you need to do most of the content to really see where the game is heading. You must do Coil to really feel what the high/tougher stuff feels like, You need to do the towers to feel the alliance content feels like, you need to do most/all the dungeons to feel how each one is different, you need to do most of the trials to feel that each fight has different mechanics. You need to look at the housing, golden saucer, minions, mounts to see SE is adding things that have the “Fun†element.
