Srry Kat, needed to post early so I can get to business. I'll consolidate later if you want.

Countdown to Heavensward in late June. SE loosened up the cap on poetic tomestones! What are your plans?

For me:

1. Weekend Goal: Finish the new cap on poetics (at 430 right now) and buy + upgrade blm pants

2. Weekend Goal: Tower Quest for Twine

3. Beat T12 last night for the first time. Went in DF with Zero and got the win. Finally. After six months. On my first try tanking. Yeah.

So this weekend I guess I'll farm T12, and maybe try to tank t13. Watched vids and walkthroughs and it feels pretty manageable with echo. Feeling more confidant about myself in the tank role for these coil runs. Things barely touch me at ilvl 130 with food, and I can hold hate pretty well. Tank swaps scare me, that's it, but its not really too bad if the other tank is good. By the end I was standing four ticks in the fountain, passing the brand, and tank swapping all within a few seconds time. And at 4% the other tank picked up brand from me before flames of unforgiveness was cast, and I was smart enough to pop my hallowed ground. Took 0 damage. Whew...

4. Next Week: Currently #10 on the Triple Triad leaderboard for the tournament. Was #3 on Tuesday, has dwindled a bit since. At 46/50 wins against the NPC guy next to the board. Think I'm near 4.3k points. Hope it holds. Would be my first top 20.

5. Next Week: Cap poetics, get gloves and boots for caster. Also tower quest for twine.

6. Halfway to Kirin. Pick up a shiva, leviathan, or ramuh farm when I see one.

For me:
* Reach the new Poetics cap
* Try to improve my WAR skills to the point where I can actually tank stuff without massively embarrassing myself

Standing long term goals for me remain as thus:

Lin: Make progress on Dragoon Zodiac and gear up Alternate Classes for Heavensward.

Hyrist/Eric: Work on Storyline to have them ready to enter Heavensward expansion asap.

Thanks for posting Valk, I'm at Anime Central today.

Because of that, my goal is simple: Finish all three WoD dungeons. SOMEHOW.

Playing on a tethered 4G connection.

I achieved this and finally have all of my healer's right side gear upgraded. With the increase in poetics cap, I plan to get my bard to 130 before the expansion if I can, and try for the healers to 125 (they don't have poetics weapons yet.)

ACEN was super fun, the two XIV panels were great and had little overlapping content (my big concern) and I got to see some great costumes - including a Hildibrand!

Verdha is still having difficulty: main goal this week is to finish off the last Det relic re-meld. It was going to be so simple, I had the Alex, prices were dropping, I needed to SB anyway, just pick up some Savage Might IVs and blow it out quickly. That was before the 4 failures it's taken to get the 4/5, and I'm left with almost zero gil again and still haven't finished the remeld.

Waenlona is doing crazy well so far: Finished off the Omnilex Atma last night, got the soldiery body, and cleared a bunch of high level dungeons too.

For this week: Verdha wants to finish that remeld, and run the Tower weekly. Waenlona wants to clear out the quest list including HMs, keep up on gathering Soldiery, and with a little luck in RL schedule go for a long soak in the Forgotten Springs.

1. Capped poetics at 900. Bought blm pants, upgraded. He's at 123.

2. Tower quest done. Twine from that + twine from t12 clear + 2 existing = 4 twines now

3a. Farmed t10 about 20 times. Got a total of 1 healer boots. Got another tank clear on t12, got a twine.

3b. Tried tanking t13. Two things here. #1 Smiley: schooled Bahamut hits like a nuclear bomb even at 15% echo. And repeatedly over and over. And over. Hurts me and puts dents in my shiny shield. #2 Smiley: schooled No one, and I mean no one, can seem to follow the same strategy. My group has markers in a triangle, in all the vids they were vertical. Pre-nerf bahamut vids show him being pulled in a triangle starting with giga. I saw a 7 man clear post echo with a solo sch healing where they left bahamut in the same spot all the way to 50%. They just want me to pull it south at gigaflare so the warrior doesn't have to move five feet and pull the add away. Whooptidoo what is that a 10.5 dps loss? Bleh, the tank strats are too varied for this one. Think I may bard it.

4. Cheating %&$*%& playing themselves on their alts managed to knock me out of the #20 spot around 9pm on Sunday. So no special goodies for me. Maybe next time I can beat the NPC 50/50 times and I MIGHT get to be #20. SE really needs to do something about the cheaters dueling their own alts. These tourneys should be done through matchmaking like the choco races imo.

5 & 6. 5 is next week, and no luck on my 5 shiva runs last night. Not even 1 mount drop. Haven't ever seen shiva ex mount drop, as a matter of fact...

Well after several weeks of being in the strangest guild trial I've ever seen in 20 years of MMOs and almost 7 of high end raiding, I've decided it's surrender o'clock.

So now I have a few paths ahead of me:
1: Stay where I am (Hyperion) and keep trying to find an FC that'll be doing 3.0 raiding and needs a NIN
2: Transfer back to Ultros and hang out with the Zam people I left behind over there
3: Transfer somewhere else

It's a frankly unappealing choice.

Oh but I did get a bit of amusement this morning. Decided I didn't want that Shiva EX quest to just sit there until the end of time so I DF'd it. Told them I was new, the DRG in the party immediately bailed (and was replaced by another NIN before anyone realized what happened). The WHM gave me a two sentence rundown of what I needed to do. And then we one-shot the fight. So that's done now. Y'know maybe if it'd been Ramuh I could've understood just jumping ship immediately (probably not), but this was pretty easy.

Still aint playing much. We try everyday to get on to at least do beast tribes and get a moonstone to finish lucis. but again so boring and the rmt spam is soo way out of control on Ultros now we barely get on even though we try too.. Tesee has been getting on more than me.

Still have not pre-ordered the new expansion. Our time on this game feels like it might be coming to a end.

Beat Turn 10 last night!

Got deep into the second phase of turn 11, but then someone had to leave. Going to try T11 again tomorrow night.

I'm really hoping to clear T13 by HW... want to have my plate totally clear so I can dive into the new content with loose ends tied up.

Still fail: I'm now up to TEN failures on Savage Might IV, and still don't have that last meld.

But did get the last carboncoat to be full Augmented Ironworks on MNK except for weapon and second ring (plain Ironworks because Unique).

And Waenlona had an excellent soak in the hot springs.

Hi everyone!

Thayos beat turn 10. Nice. I just jumped back in after an extended break. Holy cow, things look pretty awesome. For one, I'm super happy that I can get catch-up gear from WoD without a weekly cap. I just keep thinking about how MUCH fun stuff I haven't done yet. I left around Ramuh, so I'm hearing Shiva and Odin are next up. Coil? Yeah lots of coil. But first time to gear up on all the fun stuff I haven't even seen yet.

Wasn't surprised to find my old friends on Hyperion ready to help a brother out the first night I logged back in. And then, of course, gotta check on the ZAM crowd, which seems to be doing very well. It's awesome to read this thread and see so many old friends still having a great time with FFXIV.

The ATMA grind beat me down, I sure needed a break. And now it's time to dive right back into the deep end and start checking out all the awesome!
