Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 3/13 - 3/19Follow

#1 Mar 13 2015 at 6:59 AM Rating: Excellent
My company is shipping me off to the frozen north next week yet again, so anything I "accomplish" this week has to be done this weekend. At least I already got my WoD drop for the week.

1. Cap poetics if possible
2. Finish ST and CT
3. Fully stock retainers before I leave

I'm going to try the "Log Me In from work laptop" setup again. Might only be good for crafting, but also might work for Triple Triad so it's worth a shot.

I'll also be deciding next week whether I want to bother quitting my job or not.... meh.

Well I have been sick for about two weeks.. Last few days I have not even wanted to play but hopefully better this weekend.
Tes and I need to beat our last dungeon Sastasha (Hard).
I need to focus a little on armorer, some how this has slipped by. I have made my artisan off hand but need book one and artisan main. This way we can craft our last two turn ins after we beat Sastasha.
I would like to work on my lucis for Gold smith. But I still need massive GC seals and I have played very little the last few weeks so Probably wont finish it.

Down with a miserable cold a lot of last week, so didn't get as much done as I wanted. This week, keep it simple:

Verdha: camp the market board to catch any price drop in IV materia, spiritbond, keep gently pushing the gear upgrades with roulettes.

Waenlona: Keep advancing the storyline missions (Titan done), THM closer to 30, and start crafting.

Got BRD and SMN/SCH both to 41. Unlikely to finish them during this week, but I should make some healthy progress on them.

Got my last WoD NIN drop (gloves)! Now I can start collecting gear for BLM or WHM.. haven't decided.. probably BLM.

Got my last NIN poetics piece (feet). Next I start on BLM right-side gear.. I need all of it.

Got Mog EX, Levi EX, and Ramuh EX first time completions done!

Got T5 done FINALLY Smiley: banghead in a new static for the first time.. well.. ever. They want to work on T9, so that's likely to be what I'm doing next.

Lin Progress so far this weekend.

50/75 on Alexandrite. Now down to only Savage Might materia, and I have most if not all that materia already lined up. Just need to focus on getting Alexandrite.

Serpent Elite Spear Acquired! So excited for this one. Lin has a 'leather/hunter' style of gearing for her character and this spear just speaks volumes to that sort of style. I'm very happy to have finally squired it. I've wanted it since Hunts came out.

I dont know, i'm about ready to give up...

Hadnt had a chance to "play" XIV for atleast a month now due to work. I try to login when i get home, send some mail, maybe do one chocobo race, that's about all i get out of it. I had high hopes of being able to play this weekend, but every time i tried i got stuck in a login queue for about an hour... And after it eventually connected me, i had already lost all interest to play.

Maybe i'll give it one final shot :/

Goal of the week:
1) Actually try and get some dungeons done...

Well I was still sick almost all weekend.
I beat Sastasha (Hard) first shot.
Well Tesee strarted running it over and over and over because it was our last one and wanted to move on too final phase.

Anyway I was going to help Tesee get her Supra and Book 2 for weaving but with her bad luck on Sastasha (Hard) I had doubts we should try. Well it was horrible, RNG was so against her, I finally talked her into stopping trying on Sunday. Well we did finish it on Sunday but for the last one she needed NQ and she HQ it. I felt so bad for her but it was too funny. I think it was 4 percent. Amazing how RNG can make such a difference and how it can change. Again in high level crafting should not rely so much on RNG...

She also finished Sastasha (Hard) after another 10 tries or so Sunday..

Anyway on too the last phase of the relic. Wow that was hard to follow and understand. SE really needs more direction on this. I hate their is no mission open for some of this stuff letting you know you are doing thing right.

Anyway we got it going. Anyone have any info on the lights like the last set? Is this easier and if so how much? I am usually on top of this stuff but I have seen almost no info on this phase of the relic.

We did a few small things like made more off hands, Tes and I have almost all the artisan and forager off hands now, sealant has held us back.

So far so good. Looks like being a busy out-of-game week again this week, though.

Verdha: Picked up several Crit+ tier IVs as the price went down to 400k, did a lot of (not very lucrative) spiritbonding, Looks like I have a reasonable chance at maxing Crit, but Det at 700k+ each is really a bit out of reach. Right now she's on her last 6 of each, so that would only mean adding Acc+6 instead of the last 6 Det, not too bad I think.

Waenlona: flying through the storyline and doing massive numbers of quests along the way as they open up. SCH to 41, WHM to 39, THM to 26 (yay Swiftcast!). Apparently she needs a dancing costume too.

Didn't get a WoD drop this week; I was too picky and ran out of time.

No Zodiac weapon drops. Back to the RNG hating me!

Finished off a book for WHM and have started the next one. The FATEs don't want to cooperate, but everything else is going well.

Last night, I successfully beat Leviathan EX! We had to go up to +20% from echo, but a win's a win! I also appreciate the Queen reference in the Ramuh EX quest name.

Log Me In from my work laptop isn't working out that well. I'm tempted to try a benchmark on it to see how badly XIV laughs at it (it's a core i7 but has integrated graphics, lol) because no matter how crappy that is, it'll still be better than LMI over two time zones is going.

After getting the quest in North Shroud, you will need to see a guy near the aetheryte in Swiftperch who will attune you one at a time to each of the twelve atma. Once you are attuned to the first one you go out and collect light until you get the message that it is complete.

Gentle is what you are shooting for with bonus Garuda HM and the like. Gentle is the new bright basically. Bonus windows are the exact same as with the nexus.

You pretty much are gathering the equivalent of 1000 nexus light total, divided up into 12 segments. So its shorter, and feels shorter. About 10 garuda HM in bonus will get you through 1 of the 12 atma. When you attune each atma, port over to the guy in swiftperch and get him to reattune you to the next one. Don't run anything before that or you wont get light credit. Then when you are done North Shroud completes it.

If it is any indication, both tank and bard zeta took me about 2.5 weeks casual to take from zodiac to zeta step.

Work laptop didn't choke on the benchmark! Gonna let the game download overnight.

I give my presentation tomorrow for work on Google Analytics and the power of service level management utility metrics.

Paladin and Bard Zeta acquired. Need the expansion...

I log in to check retainers and scratch my ticket, get my weekly twine, hunt if it is up, and cap poetics. Still at 62 cards... Bleh.

Coil has been a pain, the people I am with are all good, but they manage to pull in one or two people every time that can't stack for crap, and ruin everything. Plus they refuse to assign numbers for tether / charge combo...

Well, I never did get the game to run from my work laptop. Either McAffee is blocking it, or the hotel's ISP is blocking UNP ports. Get error 2002 when I go to select a data center. I'll leave the game installed and test it at home or on Go Go or something, and if it fails there too, I'll just uninstall it from the work lappy and pretend I never tried.

:(

Since last weekend I've been concentrating mostly on Verdha, trying to finish off the Alex stage. Again caught a slight dip in tier IV prices, but took another step backwards when the 82% infuse failed and I lost the materia. Now at 42/44 Crit, though, and depending on how much gil is left over (hah!) after that, I'll probably fill in Acc instead of the last 5-6 Det.

And Verdha's chocobo is now Rank 17. Smiley: grin
