Final Chapter of Zodiac weapons (Patch 2.51)Follow

Some updates on this. It works a lot like gathering light for the nexus, except it takes only 1/4 of the time. It is the equivalent of splitting 500 light into 12 equal parts, with each part costing around 200 soldiery to obtain.

For instance, I ran Qarn HM 5 times and Garuda HM once, and I'm pretty sure that the next time I do anything I will get part 1 of 12 out of the way (So I gathered about 40 light so far).

It could have went a lot faster, but until I get that drop I'm not going anywhere. I just wish that out of 30 runs, I could at least get one Qarn HM where I didn't have to teach someone new. I pray for 5.5k blm + 6k bard combo with a 5k healer. That never ever happens =(. Always a 3k dragoon in there.

I've started to *cringe* "look forward to it". I'm just trying to see how high I can go without getting the drop at this point. I'm at 0/30, but I know that is not the record. The good news is that I get a lot of ilvl 90 gear out of there, and I have gsm and ltw desynth lvl 95+, so the custom turn ins on those ancient pieces get me ltw gear, and the jewelry is gsm. I desynth them into rose gold ingots, and hard hippogryph leather, and about 1/5 tries I get a battlecraft demimateria III, or 2 of them at the same time. I've used them to craft wootz daggers for free, and every ninja on the block wants a shiny blue wootz dagger. Even my NQ land me 1.5 million. I'm up to 16 million gil now and climbing, and now that I get light for my paladin zodiac while I'm in there, the Qarn HM grind isn't so bad.

First boss, stay out of the sand or you die.
You can skip the first group of enemies after the first boss by hugging the left wall. Put away your faerie, for the love of all that is holy.
Cactus boss. Hit adds until she starts counting needles, then hit her. Repeat for second adds. The third set of adds has a tethered add. Kill the tethered add first (it heals the boss), then hit the boss until the count stops. Ignore the other adds until she stops counting.
Last boss. Two sides at random spawn a purple wall of running zombies. Avoid them or you get a stack. At 50% Light of Anathemia starts. It is directional. It gives a stack. If you get a red crystal on your head, someone needs to stun the boss and you pop sprint and get away from him fast or you will get 4 stacks fast. At 4 stacks you turn into a zombie and for 30 seconds you turn and then run diagonally across the map trying to infect people with stacks. If the tank gets zombified, the DPS with hate, pop sprint and kite it. If the healer gets zombified, tank pop cds and keep stoneskinning yourself.

As a side note, out of 30 runs I've seen the mummy pet drop twice. Got it once. So even that has a better drop rate than my zodiac drop. Thinking if there was an actual atma or a pony in there I would have gotten it by now... Funny thing is that for my paladin zodiac, I went 1/1 on qarn hm. It is poetic. It really is.
