[Maintenance] All Worlds Maintenance (Feb. 24)
At the following time, in order to accompany patch 2.51, we will be performing maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be unavailable.

*The World Transfer Service will be suspended 15 minutes before maintenance begins, and will be unavailable until maintenance has ended.

I believe this is the gold saucer update..
How is SE going to handle this?
Is this going to be a instance or a zone?
Lets face it almost every single person is going to want to try this.
All other areas will be dead.
How is SE going to handle the congestion?
Is the size of the area going to handle everyone? Will it be person on top of person?
This is the first content in a while I am really excited about as a lot of people are.

I hear that you fly there with the airship to get there the first time, then you attune to the aetheryte and you can warp in from that point.
I think the card games will have longevity, the daily lotto scratchoff will get routine attention, as will the weekly lottery drawing.
Triple Triad cards, chocobos and gear for racing, and certain cosmetic items (setzer coat) can be bought with winnings from the golden saucer.
Should get people out of mor dhona and hopefully slow the early pull hunt train, that is for sure.

Yea this is going to be a good distraction from the normal.. I am guessing this wont be for everyone long term though.
This is the kind of stuff I like to see added. MMO's focus allot on crafting and Combat.. A world should have lots of things to do and distractions. Raising my choco was one of the coolest things I did in FFXI. Too bad you can only race them in the gold saucer..
