Anyone else's server population suddenly drop this weekend?
I am on ultos and this weekend half the people just decided not too play.

I know before the updates populations usually drop but this is a significant drop this weekend.. It has been dropping for a couple of weeks but barely anyone on this weekend.

N shroud was not congested and Mor dhona was empty.. Nothing moving on the market boards.

I saw almost as many new players as existing players. ]

My ex FC a few people told me they barely lucky to have 5 people on for a while now.. I have been watching other FC and their online player base is in half.

What happened ? People playing destiny? I know there have been allot of people leaving ultro for other servers but could it be that many people just leaving our server?
How are the other server doing?

Well, the last patch was pretty small. People are finishing their Nexus farming, and those who've already beaten all the coil turns/primals probably don't have much reason to play. Then, there are people like me, who are too frustrated over not being able to find people to do content with, so I'd rather just play Destiny, lol.

I did play over the weekend, but not much at all compared to previous weekends. It's just not fun to log in and not be able to find seven other competent people to do content with.

A lot of people are on hiatus until patch 2.4 drops.

Makes sense, if you're caught up there isn't a lot to do, so now is the time to take a break and play another game.

All the people i managed to grab for my FC have long since not logged in anymore.

I almost have to completely start over with recruiting again.

I think a lot of people are just a little burned out with the game. I dont entirely blame them. I am lucky i have some minor goals, and some wonderful friends living around the mist that are pretty social (we even have a cat brothel/bar in our mist...), but if i didnt have those, i probably wouldnt have logged much in either.

This aint a little die down like there has been in the past for patches.. IT has been slowing down for a while but this last week there seemed to be this significant drop all of a sudden...

I know a few people who jumped server as well as pretty much their whole FC left. A few houses have been put up for-sale lately too.. It is like over 1/2 the people or more just stopped logging on this past weekend.. I was just wondering other servers are seeing the same or is it just ultros.. Maybe another game came out that drew people away?

Destiny (no intention of playing it, but I hear it's popular), ArcheAge (I didn't like it, but it's free and popular), WoW patch 6.0 (WoD pre expansion patch, biiig patch).

ARR is going to be very quiet until 2.4, then all the ninja lovers will return. Expect another large lull after that until the first expansion.

Like I said, the most recent patch was much smaller than usual, and there just isn't a whole lot of new content right now.

Also, everyone knows that 2.4 is going to be bringing a new coil, a higher baseline iLevel and new gear to grind for, so there's not much incentive to grind for soldiery (or anything else, really). Other than finishing a Nexus -- which many people are doing now -- there's not much compelling reason to grind until 2.4.

My FC is quiet right now, but it's very well known that most of our members are just taking a breather until 2.4 hits... then we'll be back to business as usual.

I don't think Lamia has dropped that much. I have noticed an uptick in "join our FC" shouts, though.

Monday was also a federal holiday in the US, so it's possible that people were out for the 3-day weekend.
