Looking forward to the new Nexus and Delivery Moogle quests.

Looks like Nexus wont require you doing anything but "completing tasks with the weapon" Which to me means so farming a crap load of items (i.e myth tomes to buy items, ink, books, or farming alexandrite) and no Gil sink (i.e the materia needed to meld Novus) If Im right Im definitely looking forward to this.. Im also sure when you hit il115 with the weapon the materia stats wont increase (that wouldnt make sense after all) but hopefully te base stats will upgrade (im kinda afraid because of Atma and Animus lol Atma gave us an il increase but other than that was the exact same as Zenith.... I hope Nexus wont be that way).

As someone who has zero interest in relic upgrades or personal housing, the best parts of the patch for me are delivery moogle quests, item compare, and /slap.

Looks like sands, oils and UATs will be much easier to get through ST.

I wouldnt call it easier Unless Im missing something, yes their guaranteed to drop every run, but you still have to fight over them with 7 other people, especially in the cast with CT where youll most likely use DF so Evey group youre in is different meaning youll never run into the "ok everyone else has theres now so Im guaranteed to get every one that drops from here on out" phase.

Oh and on an unrelated note there's an observation Ive been making that has finally been all but confirmed to be true, but before the possibility of putting my foot in my mouth with said assumption (you know what they say about those who Assume) Im gonna wait til a time of day when more people are on and then if the observation still stays the same THEN I'll say it.

It will definitely be easier because they're guaranteed to pop.

This last Saturday, I ran ST four times and didn't even see the UAT drop. Finally, on Sunday, I ran it once and got the UAT... and I was the only one who lotted on it.

There's a lot more competition for oils now than UATs, so getting UATs will definitely be easier. Also, with sands of time now being dropped in ST, people will be lotting on those, too, relieving the competition for oils and UATs.

Good changes!

Still have to beat the RNG. I've yet to win any of those out of ST.

I'm liking that they have finally let individuals buy housing, but unless they add a hell of a lot more land, it's going to fill up almost immediately. I could easily buy a small house as soon as the servers pop back up and still have enough money to finish my Novus, and I don't even try to make money. I'm sure that there are plenty of people that have far more gil than I do that will be snatching up land as soon as they can log on. Sure, they plan to add more land in 2.4, but that isn't going to make anyone that has to wait feel better.

I do like that ST is now always going to drop Oil and Sand. With people waiting to lot those, that means I might actually be able to finish my Bard set.

This though, "The background music for Pharos Sirius has been adjusted." is a travesty. Pharos Sirius has some of the best background music of any dungeon.

OMG! What are they thinking, where is the cheaper housing for individuals?, we get 2 extra wards in the same place as FC housing so we have to compete with FCs for plots and rather than the cheaper housing promised we get to pay the exact price an FC would pay. I saved a couple of mil for my own place and I feel crushed....fool me twice SE shame on me.

I interpreted that as them extending the music so it plays in the background the entire time and not just the start, a la every dungeon in 2.2 and 2.3.

Actually, there's more of a chance now that RNG won't matter. With sands, UATs and oils popping on every run -- and given that one or two people tend to lot actual armor drops these days -- there's a decent chance you could be the only one lotting on certain things. That's what happened to me this past weekend, when I was the only one lotting on the UAT. That kind of thing is going to be more common now.

At the very least, you're much more likely to win the RNG game when lotting against just two or three other people (as opposed to the entire party). And you won't have to worry about having a day like I did last Saturday, where you run it four times and don't even see your drop.

I'm actually really excited now... going to get a UAT for my blm and start collecting ST gear.

I was really looking forward to housing but now I'm bummed. I slowly saved up for months and while I can afford a small plot, I'm nowhere near getting a medium. Doesn't really matter now since I'm certain that by the time I get out of work today and able log on, they'll all be sold out.

Oils and sands will definitely be easier, particularly so since for the time being that the whole "one item per week" thing is still in effect. Every run you do, you will have two shots. If all you did ST for was the oil (and now, the sand too) it is definitely going to take fewer runs overall for you to win your drop.

As stated, I'm pretty sure all they did was adjust the theme to repeat throughout the dungeon instead of just the first 90 seconds or so, basically the same as what they did with Tam-Tara HM.

500 MB update, and the only things that arent completely pointless are /slap, /hug and /changepose when your weapon is drawn :/

Expected as much with the personal housing, didnt bother saving up for it either, didnt even bother making furniture to sell since i knew it would be terribly implemented and that no one would be able to get a house or will feel like getting a house.

man for as good a game as SE has made they sure had some royal mess-ups. asking same price for personal housing as fc housing is one of the stupider things they have done.

In reality it is much easier to buy a personal house in 2.38 alone than it was to buy an FC house in 2.1.

Collecting Sands from ST sounds like fun. It's too bad Second Coil isn't really inspiring me to progress through endgame. At least ST + Sands presents one fun and worthwhile activity that I can look forward too.

Everyone is freaking out about personal housing prices.

And the Swarm is sitting in our giant mansion in Lavender Beds, watching in amusement. I'm really glad we snagged it while we could. Price is back up to 35 mil for that lot in the two new wards.

Heard someone compare the FC houses to frat houses. Smiley: laugh

Thayos I agree it is a better chance, I would guess way over 50 percent of the time it dont drop a oil when we ran it... Last night we ran it and nothing.. So it is a better chance. Maybe less of a chance for just oil because now it is sand too but I will take it, a improvement for sure.

It is bull .. Tes is going to be crushed, its all she has been wanting since they announced it, she saved every penny for it and ran instead of teleporting just to save pennies. We figured it might be expensive and drop later but holy crap... This might push her to want to quit.

Also I am on the most expensive server.. What a bunch of crap.

-----------------------------------------
question can multiple own the same house like have room mates?
Is the the garden shareable with others or the choco stable.. Meaning is it just the owner who can use these?

Tes and I kind of wanted a place for the two of us..

One you have completed the quest “Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics,” you will be able to alter the materia-enhanced properties of your relic weapon novus or relic weapon nexus. Prepare a new sphere scroll of the correct type to receive the power of your chosen relic weapon, then use materia and alexandrite to redo the infusion process.
* The materia-enhanced properties of a relic weapon nexus will be transferred to a sphere scroll after being adjusted to item level 110 values.

What does this mean? I hope this is saying if we want to alter the existing stats we put on with the first scroll for novus and not we have to do another scroll for this next phase with more materia.. If so no way, I can not afford more materia... The first part of the quest sounds good sounds pretty good for sure ...

Just snagged one of the last few small plots in the Goblet. I honestly expected to pay a few million for a personal house, so the price didn't really shock me. However, I am miffed that they just rolled it into the FC wards... Had been looking forward to something a little different.

Oh well. Got myself a home now, and I look forward to raising my first choco.

My FC has a medium sized place over in The Goblet, and I'm pretty darn happy with my own room myself. Still wish I had more space for all my knick-knacks, but so it goes.

That being said, though, I'm still pretty disappointed at how personal housing has turned out so far. I probably don't need to link to the post that Yoshida made around the time FC housing came around since basically everyone in General Discussion is already doing so, but when he says that the price of personal housing will be more affordable than FC housing and then the team goes and does just the opposite, well. That sort of leaves you very wary of trusting this development team until they say something further on the matter.

I would assume that most people who were saving for houses (and just a house) either only have the gil for a small one, or are shy a couple million, since if they insisted the price would be lower, likely no one imagined the prices would be on par with FC prices.

Rambling aside, I'm just going to sit on my gil. To me a house just isn't worth these prices, nor is the chaos of having to fight with FCs also trying to get plots in the exact same wards (which Yoshida's post this morning implied would be how things are going to continue to be from here on out).

(Edit: The word that sounds like 'dam' but with an 'n' at the end is censored? Come on, really? That's just gosh darn fricking fracking silly.)

Really almost all the small plots are sold out?
What a joke this is turning out too be.. They should have had enough for everyone that wants one.. I figured that would happen though when in the last live letter they were all ready talking about not enough server space and not wanting to invest more money into them..

Housing had been getting bought up pretty steadily for the last month, even before this, as FCs finally caved in and bought small or medium houses since all the large ones were gone. When we moved into our new neighborhood, we had no neighbors. Since then, all the little plots around us have been snapped up.

For once, EU players have an advantage over NA though. Smiley: lol Most of us can't even LOOK at the houses for another six or seven hours!
