Want a way to bring your FC closer together, or help initiate new members? Or just have something different to do once a week?
Several weeks ago I got BTN48 and gained the ability to farm Peistskin Maps. I was originally hoarding them on my retainers and selling them on the MB for 30-40k a pop. We have another BTN in our FC who was doing the same thing. Well a few Saturdays ago he and I got to talking over the FC at the same time two of our others were lamenting the cost of the Spring Dresses. One thing led to another and that Sunday we threw together a FC map run of six of us plus a couple chocobos. We had so much fun that we made it our first regular FC event!
We work it like this:
The FC has 2 BTNs. During the week we each farm one P.Map a day. We decipher one, and have one on each retainer. We can also each hold an extra, for a total of four. Since we can farm 6 maps in a week, we then each trade off two extra maps (free, of course) to 2 other FC members. That gives us 6 people and a total of 12 maps. The last two party slots go to whomever is online and wants to buy a map to come along, if nobody then we use Chocobos. Typically we're full, so its 8 people and 14 maps. All items are free lot, but if we get a Bluebird it gets sold and the gil put in the FC Chest.
We start on Sundays at about 8:00pm and just run around doing maps, knocking out any Atma FATEs we come across, killing any random NMs or hunting log mobs we bump into on the way, and partying until 1-2am. No grinding, no dungeons, no Coil, it's just an absolute relaxing blast. The perfect way to end a week.
