Plan on making any progress this weekend? Please post your goals here!

My goals are to:

1. Finish Tam Tara and 20 mobs and complete my 5th book towards the paladin animus.
2. Level monk a bit more
3. Cap soldiery and buy tank gloves
4. When I get a chunk of free time (as if), find a good t5 group
5. Now that I am finally able to craft hq 2 star on leatherworker, keep crafting hq hippogryph skins and turning them into hq leather straps so I can turn in to obtain the artisan's tool for leatherworker and get started on making saurian stuff. Was a pain to cap the craftsmanship / control, but I think I did it. I just pop CP food now to make the hq straps.

1. Maybe get an atma if I am lucky. I will be content with just one!

2. Work up the courage to try Coil T3.

3. Finish the warrior quest on my 31 marauder.

4. Save up the myth to replace the wristbands on my BLM. I'm up to iLvl 80 on it now.

I am proud to say at about 12:05 am this morning, my free Company, Dark Embers, finally downed Twintania for the first time:

http://i.imgur.com/IoctG2s.png (spoilerish if you haven't seen the after-zone from coil 1)

I'm the one in leather with the spear. >.>

Our raiding schedule switched to accommodate the usual lag traffic on our server cluster, so we're now running Wed, Thu, Fri for raids. Coil Runs are Wed, Thu. Wednesday we skipped on Twintania in favor of just regular Coil farming due to bad composition. But we had our best face forward for Twin last night, and it showed. On our last try for the night, we finally broke through the Twister Phase and held through to the end, even when our Main Tank died due to multiple Liquid Hells when all her cool-downs were spent.

I apparently got the last hit too.

So, feeling good about that going into Titan tonight, hoping to ride the good vibes right over his face and finally topple him this week too, as it's our first trying it on a Friday.

Personal goals involve finishing my first book for Gae Bolg Animus (+2 str) and farming more Myth for my second book.

RP plot wise, it looks like the Maelstrom is in trouble, and we're off to save their hides. And after that, another relaxing night in Forgotten Springs.

Overall, I'm already feeling really good about this week's accomplishments heading into the weekend. Hoping for more, but not really going to tamper what we've already achieved.

Synth a bunch of food and HQ lumber with my newly AF'd out CRP to build the gil supply back up, because....

We finally got our FC house! Smiley: grin Only to place a mini-aetheryte and immediately lock ourselves out of it completely via a bug! On Tuesday! /wrist Smiley: disappointed

It should be unlocked after last night's maintenance, so I'll be spending all my time there crafting and selling come Saturday. We'll be doing some decorating too, natch. Sunday I'll probably run some CTs for myth and maybe work on WVR to 15 for Careful Synthesis if I make some money back tomorrow.

I think I am probably the only person who has downed titan ex 4+ times, leviathan ex 20+ times, and hasn't yet downed twintania Smiley: oyvey

You can just literally stand at the entrance to t3 while the others bounce down and beat tha map. It really is just about standing on a platform to trigger an arrow that bounces you down a tunnel, avoiding enemies and pushing buttons to activate platforms until you win. You die a lot, its hit or miss, and it takes more talent to run anything in CT. No worries!

Still unpacking from moving, so time is limited... but I really just want to get in some serious myth farming. I've got three more books to buy (basically four still to work through) to unlock my animus.

Well, to be fair, our main problem with Titan was we were trying to down him on Mondays and Tuesday, and the lag just killed us repeatedly.

All of us can get past heart phase fine, but at that point we're usually in too poor of a shape to manage the Gailors due to something wild like a tank getting landslided when, on everyone's screen, he was nowhere near the landslide path.

Our biggest problem with Twintania was our crew. We kept rotating people and therefore kept having people unaccustomed or unfamiliar with the party Chemistry. We saw gradual progress, each run, but then felt setbacks when a person that wasn't there the night before slid in or our party composition changed due to someone not being able to attend that week.

Last night? We knew we were downing Twintania. We had the right people, who were used to what they were doing, who were comfortable and familiar with each other. Even then, we got it on the last try. So, still a ways to go before we have her on farm.

Going to try to get my friends to actually log on for fun stuff and maybe progression. The NIN news got them interested again, that's a good sign. There is a plan in place to meet up tonight and work on T5 for them. Hope it works out.

Would like to get my first win at T6.

1. No atma. Did knock out another thing on the Sightseeing log, which almost feels worse than atma with all the waiting for the perfect weather at the right time and standing on your head while farting northwest.
2. Completed Coil 3 thanks to Valk's last minute agreement to come be a tank for us. (Thanks again!)
3. I YAM A WARRIOR!!!!1!
4. BLM is now iLvl 84 Smiley: nod

I believe that father's day weekend has worked out well for me.

1. 5th book completed. At 1300 myth towards book 6.
2. Monk leveled a few levels. Now at 37.
3. Soldiery capped, tank gloves purchased.
4. Last night at 4am Malacious Bliss from the FC got me into a group with some people who knew what they were doing, getting a tank friend through T5. Beat it on the second attempt. Kind of got rough at the end, tornado phase pretty smooth, four down, had to drop the blm lb on his head ftw. Got the allagan spear drop. Really happy about that one =)
5. At 11 of 50 straps. This #@$% is insane. I've spent a fortune on earth crystals. Fortunately I have a ton of hq hyppogryph skins from a year of AK and XIII ventures so thankfully much of the cost was absorbed there, but I have to make my own hq hyppogryph leather since it is so god awful expensive on the auction house. That takes 2 skins. Fortunately all my macros are worked out so it is not nearly as bad as it could be. This is a "when I have time" sort of thing.
6 (Bonus). Seriously considered pvp, got pulled in by some FC members. I do like it, now that someone explained it to me properly. I enjoy running bard in there quite a bit. I did well as blm, but it really sucks to be everyone's #1 target. I like all the pvp specific abilities. I will definitely be spending some time in Frontlines.

Hito Yu

-Get SCH geared up doing Turn 1 through Turn 5
-Obtain the Levi Ex book or T5 book Don't need the book now that I have the T5 one
-Level CNJ to get stoneskin Level 21 and rising!
-Run Garuda Ex for the healing ring

Eh didn't get everything done but I think I set unrealistic goals. I also got roped into helping one of the other FC groups do turn 9 on my alt's MNK because one of their members decided to go poof. Overall, a pretty productive weekend, though.

Have a good week.

Actually my brother bought the game and we had planned to play together Sunday.

But then Hyperion was full for creating new characters. The character creation server list says it's open. Nonetheless, my brother cannot create a character.

A warm welcome indeed for new players looking to play with friends.

At least I was able to farm Atma for about 4 hours and not get anything. That kept me from getting frustrated with this FFXIV pile.

This weekend was meh. I didn't make a zillion gil like I was hoping since it seems people are once again hoarding their gil waiting for the personal rooms. That's my best guess anyway, since sales have totally slumped and MB prices are plummeting. Again. -_- I did make about 90k off HQing Oak Lumber though.

What I did get done was an AV clear for a friends GC rank, got some tomes and upgraded my SCH and BRD, and welcomed back two friends who had left the game for Diablo 3 but now returned. I SBed some crafting gear and got materia for melds on my CRP set. We put some finishing touches on the FC house, and I have learned that I reeeeally want a Carbuncle Armchair.

Houses are great. Besides the OCD home decorating factor they give you, having a merchant, a repairman, a delivery moogle, and the FC chest all just steps away is fantastically useful. And our house has a bell and MB literally right across the street. It was worth every penny of that 3 mil.

Came back from a 5 month absence, hit lvl 20 Archer in about 5 hours.

I'm really liking the boost to dungeon XP.

Hey hitome what are your opinions on T6 - T9? I just beat T5 for the first time (I know right) and I am wondering the difficulty level. Perhaps compare it to T1-T5 both post and pre echo to give me a quick understanding. I hear T6 is easy. Is it T2 enrage easy?

My Free Pet Emporium gave away its 100th Minion donated by the Community of Ultros. That's an Accomplishment the whole server can be proud of.

Saw a PF for T6 last night and joined. Ran into a great party, basically 6/8 static members of some FC. Hopped on TeamSpeak with them.

Got my first win on our 3rd or 4th try. Success!

Then finished my last bit of Soldiery to complete the Weathered Set on Bard. At ilvl 98 now.

The best part of the night was meeting a new group of cool people, got a new LS, and have plans to meet back up with them next Tuesday. Overall the evening was a satisfying MMO experience at it finest.

Nice to see this type of thing still happens (sooner or later). Just thought I'd share.
