Looks a bit empty and not as detailed as i would have hoped a neat carpeted area would look like.

Kudos for posting this ofcourse, lets not get that wrong, but...

I'd love to have seen Chairs there, tables, a throne, gold scattered around? More than just a few torches on the wall, some decorations perhaps.

Right now it looks like a standard texture of blue crystal is applied to everything, and a single-shade gold to everything else. With some lights here and there scattered around.

Either the playstation version they're showing it on has horrible textures and removes most of the objects so it's playable (idk, never seen anything on the playstation), or more likely the whole area is screaming "lazy!".

I'll play it, i'll appreciate the drops and use them to gear up my jobs, but i'm not impressed even remotely.

I was thinking that whatever monsters you fight in some places have been temporarily hidden to avoid spoilers.

That is likely a boss arena.

Yeah, since it seems they're not passing out a trailer or making a website due to saving everything until Japan Expo..(hence the patch delay) we won't really see what's in there. Pitty this is just an extremely pretty troll playground after people are all said and done with it content/gear wise.

Not... really.

I mean, I hear a lot of people complain about CT, and occasionally in my server cluster we do get trolls. But running them fairly consistently, especially now, most people just want to get through it and collect their goodies. I've had more trolls when the content was new than nowadays. I expect about the same behavior, but, that's where the challenge of CT lies. Not in the actual fights themselves, but in hearding 24 people of different skillsets, demeanors, and prefrences through a dungeon that requires at least SOME coordination.

I've still only ever been in one CT run that failed due to trolling.

Usually, the problem isn't trolls, but players who are just kind of along for the ride and not really aware of what's going on during battle.

Sometimes it's hard to separate trolling from incompetance.

Last night neither of our WHMs had Swiftcast. I screwed up and got killed during Behemoth (I told the alliance to mark "DPS has tunnel vision" on their bingo cards) and got no raise. Then I got devoured by a claw during Acheron (thanks, party) and again got no raise. They had good MP levels the entire time, but they simply did not even TRY to cast raise on me once. I've got Swiftcast macro'd into my Raise so I can just target someone and spend 3-4 seconds getting them up.

As it is, I ended up returning to start both times.

I complained vocally in party the second time. A tank agreed. The WHMs said nothing. I reserve the right to judge since I spammed CT about thirty times on WHM and it's not that hard to spare the time and MP to get DPS off the ground.

Catwho, that reminds me of the last time I ran CT (about a week ago), and we couldn't get paladins to stand next to towers at Behemoth.

I think these players are probably watching Netflix with XIV running windowed or on a second screen, and they just can't possibly be *&@#ed to do their jobs.

Two runs in the CT binge I did earlier in the week had one DPS and one Tank that were fresh into the areas, and myself and my friend explained how it went with them, and the fights turned out fine.

Though, they did go ahead and communicate that they were new, so that really helped.

They could also be bots. The bots of this game are......advanced, sadly. Some peeps just leave their toon spamming on auto-pilot and go have coffee, then come back and reap the rewards of their myth/anima/drops/etc. CT isn't a tough dungeon, either. I could see a makeshift AI doing bare minimum to at least get something, and maybe even the win, depending on the job.

I already noticed how to spot some of the more 'advanced' bots:

Tank Bots:
They'll sit and auto attack and use provoke and basic combo then back to auto attacking. - General Gameplay
They'll immediately run beind a comet that drops then run off to behemoth then back to the comet, but if they're on "tower" duty they'll immediately run to the tower then back to the comet then to the tower etc.

DPS Bots Ranged:
They'll sit and spam auto attack and immediately run behind comets or away from every entity that crosses their path, e.g if something is inbetween them and the boss they'll immediately run backwards until they're out of "aggro range", even if they don't lose aggro (like in instances.)

DPS Bots Melee:
Same deal, sit and spam auto attack and occasionally throw off a combo, usually the most basic that require least work, they also are programmed to immediately run beind a comet as it falls if the user doesn't reconfigure it (which a lot of people are too lazy to.) That's the most telling sign it's a bot rather than an inept player or troll.

So yeah, the bots for this game can run content on the most basic level but most of the time it's just trolls sadly. Fresh people may be new, but they had at least 49 levels to learn common sense. if you're a tank, the game doesn't immediately go into a whole new direction where you no longer are to hold aggro on a mob to keep it from eating your healer's faces off.

They released some mob pics on Facebook today... Looks like we'll be partially transported into a TRON game (I actually like the look, many won't)
