I'm going to assume that second thing was supposed to be a guess about 2.4?
Most of the estimates I've seen for 2.4 based on July 8th for 2.3 have been late September, just based on the usual length of time between patches.

I think you mean 2.4 in August, but I don't think so. There's a minimum amount of time needed for major patches especially when it comes to quality assurance and working out gameplay issues, and this is coming with a whole new class and job.

2.35 in August, 2.4 no sooner than October would be my guess.

Unless you add some crack in to the equation. It can take up to 2 months off the ETA.

That timeline would be great for me. The big patch would be a nice birthday present, and my marathon would be over and done, so I'd be obligated to play more while resting (which is exactly why I picked up FFXI so long ago).

Even though technically it should be in mid-late June. 2.4 is definitely going to be in september or october, depending since it definitely feels like it was pushed back a bit in order to give the French people something.
