So I left the FFXIV around December as I really wanted to try out other non -FF mmos. I tried DUO for a few months, Rift, and most recently the infamous ESO. Nothing quite captures my attention like FFXI and FFXIV so I am coming back home. My questions are pretty simple. Since launch are there any major changes I should be aware of? Are guilds still very active (I am on Adamantoise). Finally, are there any major crafting changes? I was mainly a crafter gatherer at the time I left. Thank you
The only major crafting change was an adjustment to the exp of HQ leves (from triple to double.) They also added in Master crafting books, which can be used to create glamours for gear and also to make some special Master level items. Otherwise there hasn't been any change yet.
Free companie / guilds are constantly evolving. There are really active ones on every server and then really small sleepy ones. You don't really know what you're getting into until you join a group.
