Hey all, im a old player from 1.0 that been around at the 2.0 when the game relaunched,
but i left the game after 2 months cause the server issues, lag and insane ques to log in,
that along with the plage known as gil sellers and SE banning some crafters killed the joy i had in the game.
I am bothering you guys now just to know if those issues are fixed hehe, if it is safe for me to return, btw i used to play in eurozone.

I would like to say yes but they are not. Lag creeps up on Mondays especially but not too bad other days, Mondays are so bad the servers crash almost every Monday.. But with the launch of 2.2 it has been real bad in instances but should settle down in a while. SE does need to do something about this and the game has been out long enough they should have. I work in IT and if we had this issue this long I would have been fired... If its the data center they hired to handle the servers they would have been gone by now.
Ques when logging on are almost non existent now though.
Gil sellers as bad as ever, I have seen less bots though.

Back in the day you couldn't even talk in general when entering major citys cause of the influx of chat from Gil sellers, and thats my major turn off along with the lag issues :( , i really want to throw money at SE to play their game but after almost a year they still aren't really getting their game toguether.
Is the end game still a crazy farm for marks to get the gear?
Is Fate farming still the only way to lvl up diferent professions (if you used your quests/leves to lvl your first main ones)?
How long did 2.2 come out? did it changed gameplay or was just a content patch?

The game is still fun. I just stay out of instances on Mondays and black list gil sellers.
But they should have fixed the lag. To me it probably could be several things.. All the years of losses they dont have the money to invest in infrastructure yet. Maybe they dont want to invest because they think the population is going to decrease and dont want to have the extra capacity in the future. Maybe the host/data center never expected that SE would require this amount of bandwidth. But this far into the game this should not be a issue anymore. SE is not new to mmo's either. I have heard SE is hiring more people or is rumored so maybe they will finally get this under control.
Not sure what you are asking about end game.. They have added Ct which is fun and BC which is fun but frustrating on occasion. Both drop decent gear with Ct droping I80 and BC I90 gear.. End game is somewhat better. you will still likely be running dungeons just for tomes and I believe that is what you are asking but you can get good gear else where too.
Fates and dungeons are best for exp. Dungeons and Duty finder roulette produce very good exp now.. Major improvement here. I dislike fates if I have to do them to much so this was a big improvement for me.
2.2 came out weds that is why the lag picked up.. A big influx of players coming back for the new content which most is real good.
