So I haven't played FFXIV seriously in quite a while (since October) and I need help in figuring out what to do. I'm 46 and the last time I logged on (late February, I think) I was attempting to reach 47 but when I went to North Thanalan for a FATE grind, hardly anyone was there (and I remember it being around prime time as well)! I'm a WHM and I'm not even sure how to go about playing my job anymore. If anyone could help me out, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks for any replies in advance!
Northern thanalan is empty because they nerfed dark devices into the ground and they buffed dungeon XP considerably. So at 47, most people are leveling in the dungeon aurum vale.
Now as for not remembering how to play your class you could do low level duty and guild hest roulette. At the end of both of these you get a nice chunk of XP and you get to do it in a low level environment which is perfect for learning.
