Other features coming in patch 2.2 include master recipe books for crafters, gardening for free company estates, new hair styles, retainer ventures, big fishing, Smiley: dubious a challenge log, new mounts, and more. Disciples of War and Magic may also want to dust off their relic weapons if they aren't still using them, as an opportunity to unlock their true powers will present itself. Smiley: grin

Meaning that soon, all the extreme primal weapons will be outclassed by something other than allagan. But I speculate that similar to the original relic quest and zenith upgrade, this new upgrade can happen in one of two ways:

A. Beat some stuff, quest a bit, then beat all three elder primals.

or

B. Get 900 of this new tome, buy item X, and drop it in the pool in Fallgourd Float.

But most important:

The release is on March 27... Smiley: drool Two weeks peoples....

It's probably a safe bet to assume Leviathan and the new dungeons would be part of the relic upgrade process. SE could even be mean and force a T5 Coil clear.

More interested in the crafting nugget, but history will probably repeat itself on ultimate efficacy.

Yeah, I am positive that Coil and CT are going to be some sick requirement for the next upgrade... He did imply it would become progressively more difficult to upgrade... And lets face it, after March 27th nothing will be harder in the game then getting 24 people together to go to CT...

My guess is 900 of the new tomes which will fall from the new dungeons, raids or what ever is added in the future...

Gear prisms looks awesome! The only thing I dont like was that gear has to be the same level or lower... at least thats how it appears? Maybe I'm wrong. The example they give is converting DL gear to higher ilevel CT gear. That doesn't make sense b/c if you're raiding you'll want to glamour your high level gear to look like something lower, but their example is the exact opposite.

Unless I'm missing another example she's wearing Allagan (so higher) and wants it to look like CT gear.

I wonder if they'll exclude event armor. On the up side, you could use the Lightning weapons all the time. On the down side you'd have people raiding in the valentine's day set.

Maybe they'll do like WoW and only let you change to green/pink/blue/purple stuff?

Yoshi actually says you can use any gear that matches a specific slot assignment (which actually angers me slightly), and is currently equippable by your current Job (or class), and is equal or lower level of the gear you are modding.

Quote:
They can be used on all gear the same or lower equipment level than your current gear.
After using a glamour prism, the gear being copied can be entrusted to your retainer.
As long as the base gear and the gear being copied occupy the same number of gear slots, you can copy the appearance of any gear equippable by your current class or job.

So, it would appear that I will not be able to make my myth gear be the giant pink heavy darksteel armor like I was hoping... It is a sad day.

No, that is exactly what you can do. You can make your i90 look like anything 90 or less. You can't make your Blazefire Saber look like a Curtana Zenith.

It makes sense. It sucks a little for mages who don't like cloaks and would rather have a body+hat, etc, but it's understandable.

Well, no not really. The darksteel armor tanks up the head+body slots (or legs+boots) so you would not be able to substitute it for the myth gear which takes up one slot per item. Both gear pieces you want to swap must take up the same number of slots.

They meant you can't do it because heavy darksteel doesn't take the same slots (it has combined body/head and legs/feet).
