My personal record was capping once in a week:). While you need the gear for doing the end game stuff, the grinding is just too boring, so I mostly stick to the "fun" stuff, and leave the head banging to the young whipper-snappers...
Likewise, I'm probably the most "Casual" person by play-time in our FC. I have hit the 450 cap twice I think, and that was when I played "Alot"...
I think last week I got 100 myth, and this week so far 50 and it's Thursday.
Dang dude, you could just queue up roulette on your warrior and get 70-90 right there. Do that four days and you are pretty close. Bleed that instaqueue my friend!
Except I didn't realize until after I got WAR to 50 that I am actually a really awful tank so therefore I don't like doing it very much, people would hate me if I kept causing wipes...
My DRG is aactually geared decent (86 ilvl), I'm good at it, and I can get queues fast enough for what I do... just don't play often enough to even worry about capping myth anymore.
I felt the same way at first. Having both Warrior and Paladin at 50, I take warrior to regular dungeons and paladin to primal battles and coil. (both are ilvl 80).
As warrior, just remember Tomahawk, Overpower, Overpower and you are good. Then run your main hate combo until it builds to Inner Beast. If you want DPS, go Berserk, Inner Beast, Infuriate, Inner Beast for big damage. Or, you can just Inner Beast and give yourself 20% damage reduction, then Infuriate and do it again right after. Use your cooldowns sparingly, and cross class as many as you can. Use a single cooldown if and only when when you dip below 50%. Pseudo cooldowns like inner beast are bonuses, you have to use them so they dont count towards conservation (unless in situations like titan where you are mitigating mountian buster in a few seconds and need to hold off for a moment.)
I can understand why you wouldn't like it much though. I was sort of forced to like it in the beginning because my team needed a backup tank, then I got decent at it and now it is my myth builder. Though I still bring black mage to primals any chance I get, I've been forced to tank coil and primals. Here are my battle rankings for post game tank, in order of difficulty.
1. Garuda Ex is probably the hardest it gets for a tank right now, a lot of moving and kiting, and swapping and avoiding one hit killshots
2. Turn 5 is hard, a lot to do there with adds and placement, and tornado dodging.
3. Off Tanking turn 4 is challenging due to the amount of enemies you have to hate control in position, and for the amount of time you have to do it.
4. Titan Ex, simply out of sheer frustration that the DPS / healers keep dying (maybe its just my luck lol).
5. Main tanking turn 4 is hard. The dreadnaughts are no punks, especially when there are two.
6. Tanking Pharos Sirius. Siren is a nightmare, and you have to learn to run from the crawling zombies.
7. Ifrit Ex is hard because you have to remember where to place him each time without landmarks.
8. Garuda HM is a lot of movement. Hard if you don't know the positioning.
9. Ultima HM is reasonable difficult. First time you really have to tank swap to win.
11. Copperbell HM is really tough on the first (due to hate control on a lot fo stuff and bomb marking) and last boss (due to placement).
12. Coil Turn 1 is next. Just pop cooldowns if you get low, and keep the snakes apart. That's it.
13. CT is only hard because of other people not knowing or purposefully being stupid. The hardest thing is main tanking behemoth which is really not too taxing.
14. AK is pretty tough as tank on the first (pulling adds and boss to side) and second bosses (getting the bees).
15. Thornmarch is sort of tough, as main tank you pull big boy to the north and just dodge aoe.
16. Chimera in the relic battle can be tough if you aren't tanking him outside on the hill.
17. Hydra is kind of hard, especially if your dps don't kill the adds fast enough. Remember fear itself!
18. Haukke Manor HM is relaxing, I love playing it. Ash is one of my favorite battles as tank.
19. Wanderer's Palace is great fun, especially if you pull multiples and speed run it.
20. Probably the boss of Brayflox, Altair with his purple spit of death.
21. Cutter's cry, that damned ant, and her cohorts.
22. Titan HM is easy easy easy. Post heart, after landslide, pop a cool down for mountain buster. Go to edge of map in between bombs for explosions.
23. Ifrit HM is pretty easy too. Just hold him in one spot for 95% of the time.
24. Literally everything else.
