anyone know why sometime a mega-skeleton adds will pop?

Far as I know, it's because the little adds weren't killed. That's what I was told though, so take it with a grain of salt.
It happens when a skeleton dies in the big purple circles. If you look closely, you can see the skeleton's corpse get dragged into the center of the purple circle by a purple line, then a big one will come out and wreck things.
^ Almost correct. Its actually THREE dead skellies being in the giant purple circle. Their bones get combined to form the Manor Steward who then whoops your butt.
To avoid this, have the DDs pull the skellies far apart so as not to kill them in clusters.
