The game was horrific last night. I am happy to see they figured it out. Thanks for the update.

This is every Monday due to everything resetting at the same time Monday., tomes reset, coil reset and ct reset so its a load issue. I could not get into any instance last night and all of our FC got booted from one. I actually quit playing Mondays because of it. I was only on last night because of a death in the family and need to stop thinking and playing FFXIV best way.

Anyway these wont fix that, but these are good fixes anyway..

Yep, poor Valk and a few others got kicked out of dungeons with error 9000 at the same time last night. Dungeon and lobby servers were both down for about 30 minutes.

You can still play on Mondays, but you should focus on things that don't involve any instances. I mined up a whole lot of iron ore last night. Smiley: laugh

I missed this. Sorry for your loss, Nash.

When my mother was killed in 2004 I played FFX straight through for a week because it was the only thing that kept me sane.

Sorry to hear that, Nashred... keep your head up. Our thoughts are with you.

I'm pretty sure the lag was cross-server. One of the people who got booted actually ran into the "server queue is full" message for the first time in forever. Smiley: lol

Anyone think/know if this lag is caused by PS4 beta in conjunction with the Monday raid swarm?
#9 Feb 25 2014 at 11:38 AM Rating: Good
I think someone in the Montreal data center tripped over the power cord.

Happens almost every Monday since they added CT. You get booted out of CT, coil or what ever and out of the game and then you enter a large que to get back on server..
I was doing duty finder roulette last night and it knocked me off line. This happened just after my FC got booted from what ever they were doing.

To everyone thank you for the wishes. It was my grandmother that passed away yesterday. I just went too see her Sat and I am happy I did now...

Demon wall party kick followed by immediate 90k on entry FTW. Luckily I watched Logan's Run with my wife, hopped back on 2 hours later, and got WP in my roulette so I dont feel so bad. Plus the summoner in my original AK party had original AF armor and 2200 HP, so it was probably a good thing.

The whole server was getting 90k. We were doing t1-5 at that time too. When we opened the chest on t5 a bow and helm dropped. Neither pld or brd got the drops because almost everyone got disconnected. We tried to do extremes after that...but ya that was kind of impossible.

Why do they run? Why don't they just go to Caroussel?

Third time in two days I've been 90k'd out of CT. Hopefully this maintenance takes care of it.

Yep been booted 2 times tonight from ct and cant even get on the server anymore. I get put in a que and then booted. Worst part is when I got in my hud was all screwed up when Ii went back into ct there was no party list... I am giving up getting back on the server tonight. Get in a que and drop, get in a que and drop, its beta all over again..... 10105 error... what is that...

The official "recovered" message from yesterday says it was a "Server program error."

So yeah, hopefully the maintenance tonight will un-error the server program.

As someone with a fairly stable connection and a fairly clear trace to the servers, I certainly felt it tonight even behind a VPN. Constantly kept getting the R0 symbol above my head for a few seconds and things would briefly freeze in place. Never got a full disconnect, though. Lots of FC members who normally don't have connection issues were also experiencing them tonight.

Not sure what they did exactly...hope this isn't the norm from here on out. lol

Edit: Also,

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/149202-90k-errors-and-YOU-SE?p=1902648&viewfull=1#post1902648

It appears they were having problems with the Primal data group. It seems Ultros and Lamia are on the list which might explain some things.

I hope they adress the controller locking up and movement being impossible sometimes as well.

I did CT with a friend of mine who plays on the PS3, and either she kept getting locked into place having to relog just so she could move. Or she started moving and then simply couldnt stop moving. Triggering a few bosses early while she was panicking being stuck in auto-run against the wall.

As hilarious as that was to some of us, it's a SERIOUS problem and pretty much makes it impossible to play on the PS3 right now :/ Which if we have SE to believe for it, is a significant portion of their playerbase...

Might be your friends PS3 or controller.. Tes has no issues like that with her controller. She has animation lock in CT but that is the ps3 not being able to handle CT... On my screen she is moving and shooting and on hers she isn't. Eventually a aoe knocks her out of it or something else. Anyone else have that issue with controller lock with the PS3?

Also I think really what is happening is people now know Mondays are bad so they are now waiting to Tuesday to do stuff like dungeons ans shifted the issue into Tuesday now. What is weird is it is affecting all dungeons lately. CT went down at the same time titan HM went down.. You think each instance would be another server. Then the whole world server went down from all the people trying to log back on.

It really sounds to me like SE didn't have the money to do this right in the beginning and also didn't expect this amount of people. Now they are scrambling to make it right..

...My main platform is PS3 and this has never happened to me. So no, it's not impossible to play on the PS3 lol. That's your friend's controller messing up most likely, I had this issue on PS3 when I used my 360 controller but that was my 360 controller having a short.
