My ProblemFollow

Hey all, Before I start I want to say this is in no way a rant against the game, I actually love playing it.

I've gotten to the stage where I'm doing coil and getting drops for my main class, having a static group with my FC is great, we all practice together and slowly progress.. That's not my problem..

My problem is.. Every week when it gets to Monday and the caps reset I feel I HAVE to cap my myth tomes ASAP or I will fall behind others.. I won't even level my other classes because I'm worried about not having time to cap, I gain myth by doing daily CT runs, treasure hunts, and a high level roulette.. I just want to know if anyone else has this problem? Or have you found a way round it?

I once again would like to say I don't hate the game, I just feel like I'm being rushed to cap ASAP before I lose out on resets?

Thanks in advance!

It's a game. Stop treating it like a job. If you want to cap that night cap, if not don't even worry about it, you'll get some next week. Why are you trying to keep up with other people in a video game? You lose nothing by falling behind other fake characters in a virtual world. Games are meant to be fun, not chores, you shouldn't feel rushed by anything in this, or any other, game. You're doing it wrong.

Its not a competition. Sound like you always want to stay with the crowd or be a step ahead. Don't worry about what they are doing, just have fun with what you're doing. The best FC's are the ones that have a bunch of friends in them, cause if I don't want to run coil one day and just want to start a new job, they're like "awesome dude, tel me how you like it!" Instead of "come on man, we really need a tank..."

If you do a high level duty roulette once a day for 70-90 total tomes, run CT once or twice, and run turn 1 and 2, you will seriously hit your cap well before the weekend. Don't be pressured to cap on Monday night =p

Monday 70-90 (roulette - 1hr) + 50 myth from CT (1-hr) = ~130
Tuesday 70-90 (roulette - 1hr) + 100 myth from coil 1 and 2 (1-hr) = ~180
Wednesday 70-90 (roulette - 1hr) + 50 myth from CT (1-hr) = ~130

That's 440 right there. A few primals or at least one other day doing a wanderer's palace run will fill you up. Basically 6-7 hours out of the whole week and you are capped. No rush.

Didn't I see they're removing the Myth cap too? Problem solved.

Yar, I just run my high level roulette once a day and I'm usually capped by saturday. If I'm not(because I've gotten AK and WP every time), I raid coil on saturday and that gives me the myth I need. It's only half hour work to cap every day. Not too much of a hassle if you actually like playing the game.

Why do you feel the need to cap mythology immediately? You are given a week of time to do so. You could casually space it out over the span of a week like others above have mentioned using duty roulette. If you do one every day and maybe two CTs, you should be at myth cap by the end of the week.

Wint also mentioned something important: myth cap will be removed here shortly. Don't stress so much about it because you won't really be behind anyone when 2.2 starts and the cap is removed.

Honestly, the strategy I've been using lately is to not spend mythology points until I've run coil for that week. Depending on what drops. I then decide what to buy since we are so close to this patch that will remove the cap. Gear jobs that you need now for current content. For instance, I have a DPS job or two. Why would I want to improve the secondary DPS job if I also have a healer and/or tank to think about?

Since all content can be cleared fairly easily with i84-i88 gear, I'd much rather bring my other two roles up to speed than min/max another.

I guess its up to you and how you feel about it. I don't like the fact that I have 300/450 or 90/450 some weeks but I'm doing things that make me happy so I don't really care.

But a new tome is supposed to be introduced that will likely be capped, so back to square 1.

I feel like the OP at times. If I don't keep up, then I get "locked" out of content by the community because I don't meet the ilvl requirements. I usually do runs for myth that I enjoy, so it's less of a chore. Though I do put pressure on myself to cap myth on weekdays so I don't have to worry about it on weekends. Weekdays I don't see my FC due to my work schedule, so I play solo. On weekends I want to do group stuff with the FC and not myth grind.
