I subscribed again to this ridiculous MMO again, three days later I can no longer stand it anymore. Uninstalled.
all that hard work they put into this game and they still cannot get their heads pulled out of their asses. I've seen so much work pumped into graphic display but the game is flat broken. PVP is broken, main story is broken, dungeons are filth blight cancer stench disgusting and a stain on this already arbitrary MMO. none of my friends want to be around this game. It pains me listening to devs say they are going to keep this game P2P. scratch that I say this game will go F2P as soon as the majority get bored of end game content. content I never got to see cause I'm stuck mid game with the makers dangling it in front of me. seriously who with a right and justice mind wants to be screwed over this hard? no thanks! I have other places I'd rather spend my hard saved money!

In other words, you don't like the majority of how you get exp in this game. Well, it's no wonder you don't like the game then. If you don't like, you don't like it. It doesn't mean the game is crap or any of the other handfuls of descriptive slams you've used against the game and its devs.

How is the main story broken? Seems to me that is one of the biggest strengths of this game.

pointless housing 90% of em have that

games fun but I cant agree with that statement when every quest or hunting log I do seems to take me back through the same 5 places.... OTHER mmos worldds are so big you could do 50 quests and none of their objectives would be on the same area/map... and as for lots of stuff to do.. well plenty of ppl complain that endgame is lacking in content sooooo

Not that AF alone really makes or breaks the main story line to the degree that wemelchor implies, but...
I wish AF body was available at lvl 45 intead of 50. The body is the most visibly striking part of AF, and you don't get it until level 50. I got my BLM AF body and wore it for CM and Praetorium. After that, on my very first AK run, I got Demagogue Half Robe, which is better stats wise but a complete eyesore. I don't know if I would want AF to come as early as lvl 40. As it is, there is a slew of craftable lvl 45 to 50 DoW/DoM gear in the 5 visible slots that are completely useless since everyone just wears AF through those levels.
XI is a whole other animal when it comes to AF. PLD was one of the few jobs where AF was worth wearing from 50 to 75. Most other jobs only had a few pieces of AF that were worth actually using. In XIV, pretty much all AF is actually worth using the moment you can equip it. It's too bad they get obsoleted so quickly.

I leveled my second class to 50 with a full set of DL sitting in my Armory Chest from doing main story roulettes on my main class. I didn't even equip my AF body lol.

I could never understand that either.
If they don't like it, hey that's their prerogative. That's fine, and all. We're all allowed to have opinions.
If they want to leave feedback, MANY games will have a feedback form that you can send in when you cancel your subscription asking you why you quit, and THAT is the proper channel to provide feedback (dunno if SE does this or not, though).
But to come in here and kvetch all over the forums whining about what they didn't like about the game just doesn't make any damn sense whatsoever. Are they trying to convince others to leave the game too, out of spite or something? *rolls eyes*

Travel time = time sink. Time Sink =/= content. The world is fairly large, it just doesn't seem that way because it's so easy to get around.
Southern Thanalan to the gate of Ishgard in Coerthas is probably a 45-60 minute journey if you can't teleport.

Posted: Feb 24 2014 at 5:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ffxi is easy to get around when you have all teleports, outpost warps and the other quick travel options and even with that Id STILL cll it bigger... example being, id say ffxi not only has twice the number of zones than xiv but theyre also triple the size of one zone in xiv lol. xi is Skyrim whereas xiv is FF13 by comparison, and before you starts with expansions.. even just counting the non expansion areas of XI its world is still bigger and
