So when I used to play WoW, we had a thread every Friday with our goals for the weekend, and then another on Monday to see how we did on those goals. So i figured I would start one here since I'm now playing FFXIV. I also figured there was no reason not to just combine them into one thread. So what we'll do is, post our goals here today, then come back on Monday and see how we did.
My goals:
1) The Lightning event started and I need to be level 45 by Feb 24 to complete the 4th part of it. I'monly level 32 now, so I want to knock out a big chunk of that this weekend. At least level 40, if not higher. I'm not going to get a ton of time to play, so I'll have to be efficient in my levelling.
2) The third part of the Lightning event unlocks tomorrow I believe, so I'll aim to knock that out once I get to the appropriate level.
3) Pathfinder Society Organized Play is tomorrow night, so I'm looking forward to that.
So, what are your goals for the weekend, in FFXIV and outside of it?

-Want warrior at 50 by the end of the weekend. At 46 currently, so it is feasable.
-Drop my 900 tomes and get warrior relic... Help FC and myself to get relics.
-Help Catwho with Ultima HM. I can tank or DPS.
-Cap myth so capping it next week will get me the Bravura +1.
-Maybe get lucky and find a competent extreme primal party on Lamia.
-Find a turn 4 group and win.
-Drop my 900 tomes and get warrior relic... Help FC and myself to get relics.

-Cap myth so capping it next week will get me the Bravura +1.

I also need to decide if I want a sex change to wear the Lightning gear... I wish we had more details about the vanity system, so I could decide if it was worth it. I'd love to wear that gear as a Bard or Pugilist, in particular. And I'd love it if they ever introduced the Thief class/job.
Other than that:
I hit 30 Archer this week, but I haven't finished my class quest or leveled Pugilist to 15. So I'll probably do that.
That's the only goal I'm setting, since Bravely Default came out today.

I downloaded the demo, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Probably going to start a second save file so I can set up my characters more efficiently.
The nice thing is that you can get bonus items for the full version by completing certain tasks in the demo, which I think is a great touch.
Anyway, back on topic: I'm hoping to get to rank 2 for the beast tribe quests, and maybe run Garuda HM for my relic. I jumped into Ifrit HM without doing any research on the fight, KO'd three or four times, and generally felt like an idiot.

1. Beat Ultima HM and got a nice ring of healing.
2. Got Carpenter to 50 and started grinding Leatherworker up too, 15 ---> 20 so far.
3. Did indeed get THM to 30 and unlocked BLM.
We took down Garuda HM, but everyone is trying to gear up a bit more before we attempt Titan HM. I'm up to iLvl 65 now. I'd like a few more pieces of CT gear and/or relic before I give it a shot.
Edit: We also took down Garuda story mode with two conjurers (and a PLD and a BRD.) I strapped on Cleric's Stance and pretended to be a DPS. That was kind of fun!

1. Got bard to level 36. Unlocked Brayflox, Qarn,a nd Cutter's Cry. Completed level 35 bard quest.
2. Didn't even check on the Lightning event, but I'll look into that tonight.

I didn't see this thread in time to post my goals, but I'll go ahead and list what I would've put in, and then what I actually accomplished afterwards. I love the idea of this thread, by the way. Posting our goals and then our actual accomplishments is a neat idea. :)
Goals:
1. Do and finish the Valentine's Day event.
2. Unlock the Aesthetician (sp?).
3. Complete Stage 1-3 of the Lightning events.
4. Work Archer/Bard up from level 38 to level 45 before the 24th so that I can do the final stage of the Lightning events. Should be doable, but will require a bit of time. Won't accomplish this over the weekend, but will do as soon as possible.
Accomplishments:
1. Finished the Valentine's Day event. It wasn't exactly a hard event, but I felt the little story behind each part was nice and pleasant, especially the Gridanian one. I'll have to try and do it for my wife's character, as well.
2. Unlocked the Aesthetician (and will have to do so for my wife, as well). A very...odd fellow.
3. Completed Stage 1-3 of the Lightning events and purchased all 8 weapons. When I did Stage 3 of the event, I logged out immediately afterwards in that very spot. As soon as I logged in later to go buy the Lightning weapons, a FATE involving that cyclops looking monster popped right on top of me before I could even move. Very unexpected, but fun. :)
4. Got my Archer/Bard up to level 39 so far. Not much advancement was made here since I was trying to do all the other stuff. Now that I've accomplished them, though, I can concentrate on leveling up. I should be able to reach 45 in 2 weeks if I spend enough time and do the right stuff to level up (I'll take any suggestions anyone may have!). At worst, doing 1 level every 2 days should get me there and should be doable without too terribly much time.

Hey Valkyree, what do the weapons and such do for you? Just vanity items correct? Haven't paid much attention to the events myself.
This weekend:

Finally got the Vortex Casting Ring for BLM
Ultima Ring of Striking for DRG
Just a few more slots on jobs that can use Ultima Necks or Garuda Rings. Tonight for CT there are just a ton of items that I could use, shouldn't take long to get a drop I need. What to spend Myths on is the hard question!

The lightning events are actually useful. The drops for both weapons and armor are close to, if not BiS for most classes from 14-17. Only the green dungeon drops (like the plundered set at lvl 15) can compete. Good stat bonuses and decent power. Plus they look cool (the axe, sword, book, and monk claws are my favorites)

Didn't get to Aurum Vale, but did the Valentine's event and cleared the two Hive FATEs that give accomplishments. I'm happy with that.
K, here were my goals.

Ended up spending saturday belt sanding 3/4 inch off of the vertical side of two closet doors so I could convert them from sliding to regular open. Thank you N95 respirator.
Here is what I got accomplished.
1- Done. Bum rush ftw.
2- Nope, got past chimera. At the AK step. Had capped myth, so figured if I have to do AK, I might as well wait and get tomes.
3- Sorry Kat...
4- Cap complete.
5- Did not. Even my t4 group derped on garuda ex. Didnt even try the others. Tanks have trouble with garuda + suparna simultaneously
6- Found t4 group. They wanted me to.... main tank. And I got to last phase.... and the dreadnaught took me from 6300 hp to 0, 
eating through hallowed ground and sentinel... in one hit. Nope nope nope. 
I'll stick to black mage.
7- Not originally a goal, but called in air support to help out FC members defeat garuda HM. Good times!

I ended up being busy all week long, so i had to get all my myths in CT on Sunday...
I can tell you one thing for sure, i will never ever postpone getting my Myths till Sunday again. And if i still do, i will not get them in CT ever again. By the twelve, i've never seen people try and ruin runs for others so much than on sunday CT's @_@; Locking people out of fights so they have to exit the dungeon, deliberately pulling things when people arent ready or not gathered yet completely, and all sorts of UGH things from /shouts and /alliance stuff that just pisses everyone off to people showing up in pre-Artifact gear and level 29 accessories... as the other tank...

Bard unlocked and up to 32, which is great, because I had some swanky Infantry gear waiting for me. I really like the set, so I'm hoping to get the rest of it and have it ready for the cosmetics system. It feels very bardish to me. Functional enough to be worn by an Archer, but stylish enough to be for someone who wants to lead and be noticed.
My Pugilist went up to 15 to unlock Bard. Thaum up to 16 just doing Lightning Events. Finished the available Lightning events, though I need to get more items for the weapons.
I think that's all.

Achieved everything level 50 early so my goal was PLD relic, and ended up doing that then running MNK straight through with an FC mate. This ran late and involved a Titan DF that actually came through for us.
One relic left for my drg who already has the level 80 spear from Titan, so I saved that.
Later we almost wiped on a treasure hunt.
