Yup, I did the same just backwards. You will need to buy the PC version, and register the activation code in SE account mgmt site.

Word of advice, get a security token if you're going to play on PC; it's not safe.

Yep just need a copy of the software and register it and your account will be used for both at the same time. All your character data will be there.

Not free but I think the game can be had cheap for the pc now.. Not sure I understand the character thing, the pc version would play the same character as ps3 your data will transfer... You can play on both with the same character, as long as it is the same account just not at the same time.. Basically today I play on the pc and then shut it off and jump on my ps3 with the same character. The character data is saved on the server. you dont need to set up a new character for the pc, just register it to your account.

You can add additional characters to your account if you want and if something is able to be sent in the mail sure.

thank you for reply.
Nashred, I have 4 chrs on my account on PS3 (one principal and other 3 that I use less)
I was wandering in I can give weapon/object/gil from one of these to an other.
As I can log-in with one of each and I have tried so send a mail with attached (let's say some gil) but i cannot address to an other of mine chrs because they are not in my friend list.
And I was not able to put them in my friend list because I cannot log-in in the same moment with more than one per time. ...
probably a stupid question ... lol

So far as I know, you cannot log in on both the PC and the PS3 at the same time on one service account. One account = one login. What you COULD do is assign the other key to a new account. Then you can, effectively, dual box like you're hoping to.

If you join Free Company, and have access to the Free Company Chest, you can put items in it on one character and remove them on another. This is currently the only way to transfer items, unless you have a friend you can trade back-and-forth with.

That's a brilliant idea.

Wait, you can't just use the delivery moogle?

Edit: I see you tried. But wait again, can't you send friend invites to offline folks?

Edit 2: found this on the internets with several replies it works.

"Enter a dungeon, open task manager and end the process. Relog with your second character and the first will still be in the dungeon. Send it a friend request. Switch back to the first character and accept the friend request. Now you're friends with yourself.

I did it just yesterday and it works."
