I'm currently at work so can't log into my account on mogstation to see if this is the case. I looked on the official forums and there is no mention on if this is the case. I am also waiting for this restriction and will check when i get home if it is possible on Mogstation.

They said they'd consider lifting the restriction in six months after launch.

Well, it's been six months.

Honestly, the only difference at this point is that legacy characters have cool tattoos.

You'd find out based on the list of servers available to transfer. If you're on a Legacy server, and Lamia appears, for example, it's been lifted. If it doesn't appear, it's not lifted. (Lamia's population is small enough that there won't be a "server full" restriction enforced.)

Yep, they did it originally because Legacy had a head start and items new players wouldn't have yet, i.e moogle weapons and certain event items and old dungeon drops.

There's no excuses now other than not wanting to.

The problem now is everyone is saving for medium and large houses, so nobody is buying anything... And a FC could save millions of Gil by moving from a Legacy world to a server with lower housing prices...

The logical answer is to make medium and large housing more accessible... But I'm not sure if SE planned on NOBODY wanting the small houses. An the infrastructure handle everyone buying at least a medium? What happens if multiple Lecagy FCs buy up all the medium plots on other servers?

SE still has some tinkering to do before lifting transfer restrictions.

They wont un restrict it until 2.2 at the earliest. That is when legacy house prices will match non-legacy. Any time before than and no one would buy them on a legacy server.

What's the 18 dollars for, the cost to transfer? I'm a little tired so I zoned out by the time I got to that spot.

What's the point of it now though, except maybe visiting friends?

You'd basicly be doing nothing less than leaving a server which is **** and has it's economy ruined, and exchanging it for a server that is a tiny little bit less ****** and less ruined economy-wise.

First of all, that margin is very small, second of all, the mass exodus to other servers is just going to make things better for the one you left. :/

A lot of us have Legacy characters we've left rotting on their original servers because we wanted to play with our friends who couldn't roll onto those servers (since they were full) or didn't want to start on a Legacy server.

I'd like to rescue Taprara Rara if I could. I feel bad for abandoning her.

Tattoos that no one ever sees. We should be able to choose where it goes. I want it on my forehead! All must know I am a Legacy player!
