Crystal tower: first try and some issuesFollow

Hi to all
I am a, I think well geared, DRG (atm ilv 80 about) also leveling a WAR (atm lv 45).
So yesterday I had my first experience in crystal tower (3/4 complete runs).
At the begin I was a little confused (the things are more chaotic than other places) but, after the first run, the things went better and I can say that I like the raid, especially when you know what happens and what to do.
The first issue is that I experience (not only in CT) some severe lags. I have a connection that is, I think, normal/good and I am on PS3 and I live in south Europe.
The lags that I have are that I am hit even if I think I am out of the red area, I have some frozen frames and for example in a crowded fate I do not see the enemy and to target and attack him I have to wait some seconds that he appears.Smiley: mad
In crystal tower the lags were less harmful than in Titan HM (for the relic I was wiped many times) but the same I had some.
The second issue in CT (where we have many enemies) has been the targeting system (I use L1+ circle filtered only for enemy): When I know that I have to target an add I have some issue when the situation is chaotic ... I lose some seconds to target the right one; I have to face it, and if I am far is not easy, I do not know where it is and sometimes happens that when finally I target it I do not see where it is and I need (I am melee) to close it to attack (the big arrow is sometime too high and/or hidden from some hud).
The third issue is the new big huds for the other two parties of the alliance. I have them almost in the middle of the screen and give me big nuisance (the situation is already rather confused ...) and I would like to cancel or resize them (not big utility for me) or perhaps move them on the border of the screen.Smiley: sly
I would like to receive advises from this community (that I find really very kind and cooperative) for these three issues.
Excuse me for the length of the post ....Smiley: smile

Good morning to you!

One thing I found that helps with targetting mobs faster (in any instance) is having the camera zoomed right out. I play as both tanks predominantly, so swapping targets is second nature to me now (even with the awkward system they have for it), but keeping the camera fully zoomed and positioned at an angle lets you see more of the field and cycle through targets faster (I also play ps3). Turning off all animations for the party helps with clearer targetting and also helps with lag issues.

In terms of the alliance display on screen, if you head to the HUD customisation menu you can resize/move/hide the bars to suit your needs. To be honest, I think the only people who absolutely need to see the alliance hp bars are the healers, a dps doesn't really need to, and to some degree neither does a tank, so for now you could probably get away with hiding them completely.

Hope this helps ^^

It's in either the character or system configuration menus.

It is a ps3 problem not being able to draw stuff fast enough sometimes Turning down the animations will help but it wont go away all together.
Some stuff does not even show up for a while on the ps3..If you get with a group that moves fast or Mondays it seems to be worse. Mondays after the reset more people are running ct so the servers probably are a part of the problem on Mondays.. If a group moves a slower it gives the animations more time to load if they are rushing through you will actually go into the fight and the bosses wont be there for a while. i have also seen animation looks happen too...

I haven't had the issue with not being able to see bosses, but I definitely get animation locks a lot. Usually with Protect. I wind up running around with my hands in the air. (like I just don't cayah)

LOL she had the animation lock once. Whats weird is no one else sees it when you have it.

It has happened to Tesee twice where bosses dont show up... Once Monday and once last night, not the run we did with the FC.. They eventually show up.. The worst it was like maybe the first 25 percent of the fight..

We probably have run CT 20 times so we do it allot.... Some times the adds dont show up but hard to know if something is there if you can see it so most people would not even know...

You getting a ps4 when this game launches for it?

I actually have one on my desk right now :) I played AC IV a bit, but I'm sending it back to Gamefly so I can get on the top of the list for Thief.

Speaking of which, I know the beta is supposed to start in about a month. Do we have to apply for that or something?

Not sure they have not said much lately, hopefully it has not fallen behind schedule..
We have a new ps4 and have not even used it, still in the box just waiting for the beta....
If it works nice I may pick one up for me too... My laptop could be a little faster for the game.. A ps4 is far cheaper than a new pc and the ps4 is supposed to be able to use a kb and mouse like a pc... Plus it has that touch-pad which should make the interface easier to use.

You can also turn them off through the menu: Character Configuration> UI Settings (the box in the group of 5 down the left hand side) > Party List. There are two check boxes at the bottom: Display alliance list 1 and Display alliance list 2.

I had initially tried to remove these bars by turning them off as an HUD customization. I found these menu settings later. However, every time I've gone into CT, the bars are back. When I pull up the menu to look at these settings, they both show as off. If I then check and then un-check the boxes, the alliance bars disappear. So I don't know if the game got confused by the HUD customizations I tried to make.

I noticed a very significant difference by port-forwarding. Also, I have all my animations off (as everyone mentioned). I ran CT and had no problems. The only lag I actually experience, now that I think about it, is when I use shoulder-tackle with my monk. Good luck. Oh ya, not sure if technically this would make a difference but I run a direct line right into my console.
