I need to Vent.....Follow

.....With my FC!!

So, I downloaded it onto my iPhone 4s the other day. What I'm wondering is: What's a good product for a mic/headset to go with my phone. The Apple one I found was like $80, so of course all the typical conditions apply. I don't want to spend a fortune, but it needs to be reliable.

I know it isn't "FFXIV" specific but I do need it for this game. Admin please feel free to relocate though if needed. Thanks :)

This exactly. I have a PC close by, but would prefer to have my phone right there as I'd have to roll across the office if I needed to do anything with it. I gave my logitech headset to my niece for online high school too...

I don't think I have the stuff that came with the phone any more either :( I guess it's time to pop by the Apple Store lol.

Everything you need to say can be typed into a macro. I routinely ran turns 1-4 by memorizing the routine and entering things such as Rot passing notification into a macro. Silencing and virus rotation macros are also needed, but don't let the world convince you that you need a headset to be effective.

But some 15 dollar earbuds from Walmart with the built in microphones effectively do the trick. And I recommend Teamspeak over Vent, especially if you have an android tablet. It's two dollars, but gives good quality voice.

I forget what the brand of mine are called, but it has this little rectangle attached to one of the cords that picks up the voice nicely. Just make sure to buy one that says "With Microphone" because it is hard to tell on some of them. I think I spent 15 - 20 dollars on mine.

Well now that we both have Vent, we'll have to put together some Coil runs! I need to get some Allagan pieces for my DRG :)

Regarding iPhone and Vent.

It worked totally fine and all I used were the ear buds… Only thing you have to be conscious of is audio bleeding into chat if you have it on auto-talk. Which I don't think would be a problem during party/raid situations. Also, I turned auto-lock off when using the app. Hope the FC starts using this more… its a great way to induce more social interactivity cause I find typing and doing s*** in this game is much more difficult then XI. Catch ya'll in-game.
