How was your weekend in Eorzea?

Took Fisher to 50 and got Master of Land title.
Beat Titan HM for my relic quest.
Got trapped in Praetorium on Story Roulette (which would have taken me to 900 Tomes) and couldn't move, even after logging out and logging in so had to leave Duty to free myself which gave me a 30 minute penalty. Got pissed off, logged out and watched Sherlock.
All in all, good start to weekend, bad finish.
Meh.

I had a great weekend. After months of barely going anywhere progression-wise in the main senario, I dusted off my conjurer and went 35-39. This took me through Brayflox's Longstop, Titan, and somewhere in the middle of the Coerthas part of the storyline.

I also got two of my friends back in for the free weekend. One of them was 37 on his black mage so I helped him with a few quests while the other quit the game at 17 gladiator so I helped him with the first dungeon. It was fun but I don't think either of them will be subscribingSmiley: frown.

WAR 39-->43

Dragoon --> ilvl 79 - hopefully after running some CT later I'll get my 3rd piece of onion gear which should put me up to 80 (I think, but who knows how SE calculates that).

Grabbed a level 40 treasure map by mistake (Started at the wrong end of Northern Thanalan and got a level 40 node by mistake, so then I used it on my 40+ WAR solo... it was kind of fun once I figured out how to use it.

Ran CT a few times for tomes and practice...

Other than that not a whole lot...

WHM 49--> 50
Finished WHM story and have my AF to get me through til I pick up enough tomes for stuffers.
Finished the main storyline. Sat through 30 minutes of credits, found Cat Who under Meteor Survivors. Hooray.

Also WVR 41-43. The economy continues to deflate and selling anything feels like an exercise in futility.

It's horrible, isn't it? All that time I invested in capping all DoH seems inconsequential now, it's really disheartening.

My main money maker continues to be materia. My new goal is melding out all my crafter AF... cuz reasons. I'm capped on CP for all of them, so I just peddle those and use the income to buy extra +craftsmanship since that's the only materia I overmeld. I finished melding BSM so now I'm 4/8 total with only 4 melds (2 contol slot melds and 2 craftsmanship overmelds) left on LTW to get me to 5/8. That will leave CUL, ASM, CRP :)

Otherwise, got my i80 crown for WHM which makes 2 pieces of that.
Beat Titan HM, Thyrus Zenith in hand!!!!!!!! FYI: Zam FC is teh shizzle as there were 4 of us in the party that needed the clear.
Did Roulette and grabbed some maps otherwise. So now I'm working on i90 tomes after I spent just about all of them on my Zenith.

Unlocked King Moogle also but haven't tried him yet.

Oh cool, you guys got Titan down huh? Nice!

I figured out how to get Vent to work, but not until Saturday. I'm hoping I can jump in on the next round of Coil runs with the FC now that I have it ready.

At this point it's not even that too many people are making stuff. It's just that nobody is buying. The game itself gears you up well enough from dungeons and quests that you don't really need to buy gear - the only folks that bother are the min-maxers, and they're already at endgame. I've been working the HQ market since I've got a good enough crafting rotation to make HQs as I level up, but even that's slow (and that's also where most of my competition is.)

Despite this, I finally broke 200K gil. Being able to make my own HQ crafting gear now will help me a lot as I level up the other DoH jobs.

YUP!! It was me, Nash, Tessee, and Baha in need, with Joe, Gong, Foro, and Booie. Ferhal (i think) was in for a few runs before the clear too, but had to leave :(

I downloaded Vent onto my phone but still need a thingy for it....which reminds me.....

*Beat Titan HM in a PF group, got beat out of a Bow of Crags by a Bard who already had an Artemis Bow.
*Started Relic Bow quest immediately afterwards, finishing the quest last night after one more round with the big rock, a romp through Castrum Meridianum, and a run through the Labyrinth as a tank.
*Crafted various items that will hopefully net some gil.
*Tanked Turn 1 in the Coil with the LS. ADS eventually went down but Caduceus frustrated us every time when it split up.

This was a pretty busy weekend for me, and it started way back on Thursday. I had the day off and nothing to do until 2 pm.. I woke up, and logged into a CT run that was forming. I jumped in decided to give it a whirl. Cleared CT with no problems and got PLD gloves from the first boss. The tomes i earned gave me enough to buy DL wrists, bring my PLD ilevel up to 60. About 9 more VIT and I can give Titan HM a try for my relic.

Once CT was cleared, I got my BTN up to 21, then went and unlocked FSH. And boy did I enjoy that. By the time I logged off last night, FSH was up to 46.

Spent about 95% of the weekend (Fri-Sun) replacing the water lines and hot water tank in my house. Managed to hop on yesterday and run a few dungeons and CT with Kezia (got ilvl90 bracers from myth and ilvl80 legs from CT).

Ouch, yeah a couple of people here in my area (Charlotte, NC) also had busted pipes and broken water heaters... that was a bad cold front last week...

We normally dont go into sub-zero temps this far south.

--- My BC static finally cleared Turn 4.
--- Hit ilvl 90 on my DRG, now just going for min/max pieces (GDI Allagan Trousers of Maiming just drop already! That's 34 acc I could use to take it out of other places...)
--- FC put Garuda EM on farm mode. We had a tank, healer, black mage and bard that needed rings. We killed Garuda at least 12 times and only things that dropped were rings of striking, and after the bard left we got 4 rings of aiming. Going to be fun talking to him today Smiley: laugh

Hmmm... the only cross class I have for WHM is Swiftcast... What does Eye for an Eye do and what level is it?

Hmm, let me recall...

-Downloaded and watched Walking Dead Season 3 and 4 (up until current). Good show! Smiley: drool

-Got ACN to level 44. I am getting a level a day now (approximately) by working on hunt log, joining one instaqueue low level duty roulette, one instaqueue levequest duty roulette, and doing all six allotted beastman quests (the sylphs open at level 42 and the lizard guys at 43). I fill in the gaps with battle leves and the occasional FATE I run across. Smiley: nod

-Saturday night, Jy, one of our FC's Extreme Primal and Twintania gurus, invited me to a Titan EX group. On the fifth try we downed it. Smiley: grin And, in all style, I finished it for the first time exactly the same way I first finished both Titan normal and Titan HM... on my back... dead... 50 feet down... in or very close to... hot lava. Smiley: disappointed After the first set of adds were killed, Titan threw a landslide that did not show animation on my screen (I have resorted to watching the cast bar now due to our recent latency discussion on ZAM forum). I attempted to move with the others to compensate for not seeing the animation. And as I am beginning my fall to the floor, after the damage and push had occurred, I finally see the animation... Smiley: dubious But as I am lying on the ground, I start to think, wow, no one is dying, I'll get myself a drink. I come back to find they had beat it. The same group then went on to beat Garuda 2nd try (someone killed spiny with 10% health left), but wiped on the third set of nails on Ifrit HM, so all in all not a bad run. Almost done, although I am sad that my "soon to be mine" Elder Rod will not glow.

-Acquired my Paladin Relic Set! Smiley: cool On Friday my FC folks (Duma, Valefor, Corwynt, Dart, and Don) got me a second try Titan kill (first was my fault for taking a bomb and a buster simultaneously). Only the second time I tanked titan TM (both were in that group) so not bad I'd say (for not knowing what the heck I was doing).

Very Exciting weekend for me:

Friday i finished up the weekly Myth in CT, got BRD pants drop. This took me to ilvl76 (3 weeks at 50 so doing well i think)

Was enlisted into or FC Coil group2, we ran on saturday and cleared turn 1 (Brd gloves for me yay!) and turn 2 pretty efficiently for our first time grouping together.

Then i farmed some mats for deviled eggs, found i needed sardines. So i leveled fishing from 12-->34 on Sunday.

Also got MRD from 0 to 16.

You get it in the 30s I think, and it basically is a buff you put on someone that whenever an enemy hits them, it has a small chance of putting a debuff on that enemy that will reduce its strength.

Its not totally necessary, but another buff to cast on the tank if you are a whm.

My ACN is level 15 for getting WHM and I hadn't really planned to touch it again. Maybe with dungeons being better xp I might go back... If I start getting lots of 'asks' for it, maybe...but my bars are pretty full as it is lol.

- Farmed Ultima for the drop, manage to get them all on my 3 job (pld, brd and whm) both neck and ring. That fight is fun. I suggest it to any level 50 player :)
- Leveled goldsmith from 25 to 32 with pure grinding. I had a whole lot of raw stone from early mining day that was too cheap to be worth selling. So I made gems of all of this and now trying to sell them slowly to not crash more the price on the MB.
- Cleared BC T4 for the first time ever with my static, after a good 3 hours of trying on Sunday evening. (Didn't get any drop but at that point, I was just happy to have won). Tried Turn 5 just to see it, it's HARD.
- Got the official item that prove that need to get a life: Pickaxe of the luminary.

Eye for an Eye and Virus are both good tools for a WHM to have. Basically they allow you to help try and mitigate damage received so that you don't have to heal as much back.

Virus lowers the target's strength for about 10s and is handy for fights where the enemy follows a set pattern and you can predict when the big damage attack will come (i.e. Mountain Buster from Titan).

Here is the tooltip info from Eye for an Eye:
Barrier Effect: 20% chance that when barrier is struck, the striker will deal 10% less damage for 20s.
Basically again, mitigates the amount of damage dealt to the tanks/party. Always handy to take less damage.

If hotbar space is the concern, try the macro that I have been using:

/macroicon "Virus"
/recast "Eye for an Eye"
/ac Virus <t>
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <t>

The way this macro works is it will only fire one of the two abilities off, depending on your target. If you are targeting an enemy then Virus will trigger, if you are targeting a friendly then EFE will trigger. It also shows you the recast for EFE since the macroicon is going to show the recast for Virus. I use these abilities even on SMN.
