I ask this not to scam or anything, but because I no longer have a PS3 and want to play it on my PC! I know I should just wait til the PS4 version to come out, but thats so much wasted game time, not to mention cash wasted on my subscription time not played! And if anyone wants to be friends or whatever, I'm on Gilgamesh! Tatsuya Arisato is the name! :D

If I'm not mistaken, if you purchased a PS3 version and playing you should be able to get a free download for the PC. This way you can play on either one with the same account.

No, you have to go buy a new copy of the game, which is so lame! I didn't have to do that with Final Fantasy 11 when switching between PS2, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game! And having to spend $30 extra buck is lame(I got the Collectors Edition for the PS3 which was almost $90 with tax). I know that PS3 owners will get a free PS4 copy when it comes out in March (Beta Testing for it starts early next month).

Huh. I figured it would be the same as XI, where your account for PC would be the same account used for PS3, just that you had to have the software purchased to run the PS3 version (or at least have some used disks you acquired from somewhere.)

You're saying that the PC edition won't let you run a PS3 account without having also added a PC software key?

Correct, unless something has changed.

SE stated sometime shortly after ARR launch that the codes distributed with 1.0 software would only be good through Dec 31, 2013. Even if someone had a buddy pass it wouldn't do you any good at this point, sorry Smiley: frown

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

I did some research and it turns out that the old Buddy Passes and the old PC Keys still work! "Called" Square support up and they told me they still work!
