Last weekend in 2013! What did you do?
Following the advice of posters here, I decided to do a bit of crafting/gathering to put myself in a position to actually contribute to FC housing.
Botanist 28 --> 41
Got my first map! Leveling Botanist is really quite fun if you have Leve allowances AND Grand Company survival manuals (2300 seals for a 50% EXP gathering boost for 2 hours). These levels flew right by.
Weaver 35 --> 38
Went ahead and turned 300+ flax into thread and cloth. Then again with Fleece -> Wool. The Patch 2.1 EXP increase to Quick Synthesis made each Linen or Wool Thread/Cloth net 1500~2000 EXP per synth. I just put 200 mats in, set to 100 quick-synths and go take a break, returning to a EXP gain of 200k!
Then I outfitted myself with 35-40 crafter/gatherer cloth gear and made an extra of each piece of gear for each slot. (If I need it, someone else does too right?) For the first time in ages I have two retainers with 20 slots each full of sellable gear.

Well I DINGED my first 50! WHM. Actually did it on Thursday, but I was out of town this weekend so didn't get much done. I leveled MIN from 15 to high 16 and ran my first new dungeon and got Tomestones!

Made it to 46 Dragoon and got my first 4 pieces of AF! Finished all the storyline quests until level 49.
Paladin to 47 which unlocks Aurum Vale so I guess I'll try that out tonight. Also got miner to 10 or 11, I can't remember.
Defeated Ifrit and Garuda HM. Need to unlock Titan.
Made rose gold earrings, astral bracelet, and Alkalurops, all slotted with some sexah materia...
Which I got from churning some felt and tourmaline.
Helped an FC buddy with Chimera.
Got the rest of my gear all at i70 except one pink ring. :)

Onion mask, Darklight ring of striking (or whichever one has the critical on it), and Gae Bolg. Not a bad weekend.
Didn't get much done, but got my second win in Pharos Sirius... 2/4 now!
Almost finished my Zenith Curtana, too... will hopefully have that wrapped up in the next few days.
Hoping to try an extreme primal and perhaps the King Mog fight by the week's end...

Hmm, lets see if I can remember, busy weekend.
- Turn 4 downed. Pants dropped. Had them already.
- Downed Garuda EX a few times, no drops.
- Downed Ultima HM for the first time. Got the choker drop. Sadly worse than my hero's choker (except for the awesome acc boost of 14) but cool for vanity nonetheless.
- Was happy when they changed my allagan boots back, giving me the accuracy.
- Beat CT and got crimson boots. 24 man makes it weaksauce.
- Ground out ACN to 30 and unlocked summoner and scholar.
- Crafted about 300 basilisk whetstones to finish up and become a proud Gavel of the Luminary owner.
- Keep getting stuck on titan EX at the end of the heart phase where if you dont kill it fast enough it puts up 8 bombs around the circle at the same time + one in the middle, then triple landslides the open spaces so literally every square inch is covered.
Do not confuse this with the one he does post heart where he throws 4 bombs in a + and then 4 in an X pattern, then you have to wait at the south one for the landslide, then move to the right, then back to the middle bottom. This particular one is all 9 at once followed by triple landslide, is quite difficult to dodge, and happens only when you arent killing the heart at super fast pace. The video guides online that I have seen show the teams downing the heart before this bomb phase so I have no frame of reference on how to dodge it. Although, should I get past that part I have the rest memorized.

I completed the Starlight Celebration fate and got all the holiday gear. That was it aside from logging in once or twice to keep up with ongoing marketboard listings. Instead of FFXIV I spent most of the weekend wrapping up The Last of Us and making a small dent in my backlog of shows to be watched.
The story of a Monday Night Fail:
Heading out to CT last night I was incredibly excited. Oh boy, Oh boy, I'm gonna FOR SURE get a drop I want this week. I have 3 classes in the Darklight Body+Head, WHM, BLM and PLD. That means there are 6 pieces of gear that would finally break me out of the head+body combo gear on these classes. Pretty good chances I can get one of those 6 pieces, right?
Rolling through my second CT run with my Linkshell team we down the 2nd boss and are gearing up for Behemoth. All the sudden I hear:
Dun-da-dun dun dun DUN-DA-DUN!
Huh?! What loot did I just get?
"Hey Gnu did you know you just got those Tassets?", I hear in chat. The,,, tassets? OMG, yes I just got the fricken Onion Tassets for DRG. WHY??
Because if you don't pass on all the loot in CT you WILL get the drop. The poopy DRG tasset drop. **** on my face. DRG ****. On. My. Face.
Guess what? The very next drop from Behemoth was the WHM body, #1 on my wish list. That sounds absolutely fitting, don't you think?
Lesson learned. Let me just wipe this DRG **** stain off my forehead, wait until next week, and try again.

Got cooking to 50 on Sunday evening. Trying to save the gil for the chef's outfit (was just missing legs and feet in HQ) and staring at my options for control 255 to go for the starred recipes.

>Did a couple CT runs as WAR, learning the dungeon. Looted some pants for my SCH.
>Did Roulette for 300 tomes and ran into a bunch of Cap'n Capslock speedrunners in CM.
>Bought DL Hands and Boots for my SCH to replace my old Strategos gear. Full DL now.
Sunday:
>Helped another friend duo the CT FATEs since nobody is doing them now.
>Did a CT practice run as SCH.
>Attempted to heal Pharos as SCH. Failed miserably. I can tank it and DD it no problem. Grrr....
>Completely redid SCH hotbar with new macros, combo abilities with pet commands, Hi Elixirs and more.
>Capped Myth in Haukke HM.
>Decided to skip the SCH Myth body. Went out and got my Omnilex +1 instead.
>Successfully healed Pharos Sirius! Got me a bliaud and monocle in the same run, too. >:3
Not the greatest weekend, but it was fun. I'm still loving Pharos and Haukke.

Lol, I did the same thing. Hey Valk! You should lot on those crimson boots for vanity! I'm thinking, ok, not knowing I get one piece a week. They of course dont hold a candle to my allagan boots and I will never wear them. Will not make that mistake again, and will be sure and pass on the loot I dont want thanks to your advice.

Just hitting 50 on BRD last weekend I unlocked everything I could. CT, HM dungeons, Relic Quest. I got relic up to Titan HM. Ran a few WP and upgraded gear from ilvl49 to ilvl59. Getting there.
Leveled Paladin from 40(ish)->46. I've been making use of the Low level roulette every day, and it baffles me how I've gotten Halatali about 75% of the time 
Also got my 2nd piece of tank gear (Body!) from Crystal Tower. It really is a nice break from the dungeon grinding of olde.
