On behalf of my guild "MagiTaint" [TAINT], I would like to welcome any Gilgamesh players to come on down to Gridania and visit our FC, currently it is open to the public so all may walk around and view the inside freely.

1st Ward, Plot 30 "Lavender Beds" (appropriately).

To quote our leader Vain from that thread:

"It took a lot of work and stress. We had to ensure that our players knew that it was a donation but how important it was for us to have a place to call home. Some crafted, others spent ungodly hours in L50 dungeons, others committed a full month to putting all of their money into this housing. It was about 3 months worth of work and we regularly have over 450 players who are active (active meaning anyone over 30 days without signing in is removed from the group)"
.

So far we seem to be the first out of any worlds to have one, and definitely the first on Gilgamesh.

Congrats! With 450 donating, the numbers don't seem so outrageous.

Indeed and thanks! :)

I know a few members donated over 1Million Each! No donations were mandatory though, it was strictly give what you want/can. Also we started collecting donations in beta phase 4 I guess (I havent been in the FC that long, but I've been in this Guild for over a year now, they also have members in Guild Wars 2 and other games).

I had to laugh at a few of the people who were commenting "It's easy when you use RMT to buy gil"... If they only knew.

What a great plot! Looks like a seaside view from the photos.

It's cool to hear that your FC all worked together. You guys deserve to be proud of your accomplishment!

Just wanted to say congratulations and also thank you for posting pics of the inside. It was after seeing these pics that my FC decided to save for a medium house. We didn't think it would be big enough for us, but based on these photos it should be great. With that many active members, I'm not surprised you are the first. Regardless, that's some awesome dedication. Kudos.

Oh hey, Dyadem!

Could you please, please take a look at the furniture available and let us know if anything at all give any significant bonuses? Hell, even insignificant bonuses!

Maybe you won't know until you place it. You can buy some of the furniture pieces with FC credits, right?

This question of whether or not FC housing is really vanity only is really making me curious. Especially since people are saying conflicting things with equal degrees of certainty.

I'm not sure about that, I know that most of the furniture we have was either crafted by us, or even donated from other nice players on Gilg! Seriously, people on the first day were walking up and saying "hey, want some chairs?" and give us donations! It was actually a really great way to start off the community spirit.

We do have a working Armoire, and I know that bell services are coming later (I hope other npc's as well, such as repairs). You can /doze next to a bed and actually lay down! So.. thats been very popular with all the guys rofl. The entire ward (so even empty wards) and inside the house do act like rest areas.. so there is at least that bonus for when you are afking.

The ultimate touch would be if logged-out characters appeared in houses (or on FC property) like NPCs.
