I also thought we were getting actual content this update.

But apparently they had to limit it immensely by each day, or even each week (including 2 hour waits for FATE's for a lot of the new quests) so we wouldnt be able to finish it in a day and realize how crappy of a job they did.

Seriously, if you look at what they did closely, they released a lot of unfinished content and then restricted our access to it so we wouldnt notice as much :/

Well it's forcing me to start the story line again, with everyone doing other content .So few people doing Fates and the difficulty ramped up it's not relaxing to run Fates between crafting log ons since the patch. I guess I can be more sociable.

No one's running fates because Dungeon XP is better now. Especially if you're using the daily roulette.

So leveling up at say 22 or so I should go queue up for a dungeon huh?

That's been my findings. Last 2 nights I've gotten about 1 1/2 level's a dungeon on my PUG doing the first 4 dungeons with rested xp. Also queue times have been 5min or so as a DPS.

This belief that if it's not battle content or cutting edge progression content it doesn't exist crap is becoming tiresome. They added an enormous amount of content this last patch. Just because you don't feel it's worth your time doesn't mean it's not there.

If you want something else to do, and this game isn't doing it for you, don't play it. It's not a hard concept. If you don't like what the game offers, play a game that you do like. Quit pretending you're victimized.

I didn't neglect my guildhests, I enjoyed them because they helped show you the ins and outs of the party system, so I didn't have to ask a bunch of noob questions in shouts, the game taught me :)
Plus it had some good exp rewards for the early levels.

i thought that was the guild quests and doing dungeons was for... i definitely remember the gld guild quest teaching me the mechanics of using flash and telling me my job was to keep enemies focused on me.

You're right, he did. But you were playing with NPCs. It becomes a bit tougher when you add other players into the equation, which is what the Guildhests do. They teach you the dungeon mechanics, like "focus on one enemy at a time" and "go for the healer first."

well focus on one enemy at a time and go for the healer first are common sense for anyone whos played an mmo before.. thats not a new concept, so by that notion then everyone aside from those who FFXIV is their FIRST mmo can avoid guildhests then

You'd be surprised how many veteran MMOers totally miss those "common sense" things. Smiley: laugh
