So got to play about an hour today before work, and I think I can safely say never again on date grinding.
I have 2 50's and working on a 3rd, a 37 archer. one run through copperbell got me almost a full level ( 200K) exp, 5K gold, and 300 seals.
Way to go SE!

It really is a great tool for casual leveling. If you roulette the level 50 dungeon, I think you get a bonus 40 myths. That's amazeballs.

Agreed. Did two of them last night right after the patch dropped. The high-level one was an AK run (AK is changed now, loot is different and there are a few less packs of mobs, plus 10 less myth tomes at the end), and the "low-level" run was a Garuda normal. Which was interesting because I Q'd up as my Marauder thinking it would be something sub-30, but I was wrong. So now I'll just Q as my WAR all the time.
Also ran Pharos Sirius, which is a helluva lot of fun. It drops AK loot now, including some new stuff (like wristlets), but the real fun comes in the encounters. They're pretty challenging.

This was an overall good strategy. I want to give SE credit in realizing that newcomers would have a difficult time getting those dungeons done as people progress in the game. Allowing people to "random" a dungeon places you with a person trying to complete a mission.
The patch notes mentioned buffing exp from dungeon mobs in general. So I'll be interested to see how much of a buff the exp has gotten even without the duty roulette.
So they way this works is it queues me for everything at once? and I get tomes and myth for doing any dungeon this way?
so I could get grouped and do Brayfox and get tomes and then maybe do Titan hard and get tomes?

Yep, I'm in love with Duty Roulette!
I did a guildhest roulette on my 38 mnk. It was an almost insta-queue, we got in, finished the guildhest in 5 mins, and I got 25k experience for it. Then I did the low level dungeon roulette on mnk. Again, almost instant queue, it ended up being Ifrit. We cleared it in 5 minutes and BAM, 125,000 experience!
This was me at this point.
Then swapped to 50 war and did high level dungeon roulette. Insta-pop, we got AK, cleared in 20 minutes thanks to the updated mob layout, and got 70 myth tomes and 100 phil tomes. So in basically 30 minutes, I gained a full level on mnk and 170 tomes.

If I had to make an educated guess, it would be JP Midnight, or 10-11AM EST in the US depending on whether we're in DST or not.

Pretty sure I read the same. The only 'goofy' reset time seems to be for the maps, which is 18 hrs.
Haha I got stuck in Aurum Vale with my tank running the low level roulette, but it was still nice and I got a commendation. The duty roulette is really awesome. I tried out the Haukke Manor HM as well and is is really a cool and sort dungeon for 50 tomes. I like it.
I did duty roulette on my 31 PLD and got Ifrit. Knocked it out in 10 minutes and got 60k exp and a commendation from all 3 members. Signed up for the guildhest one and got the heavily armored guy in the barrows area near Tam-Tara. Knocked him out in 5 minutes for another 15k exp and got commendations from 2 of my party members!

No, just exp, gil, and seals... no tomes.

The Roulette has 4 catagories for you to do:
Low Level Dungeon
High Level Dungeon
Story Mission (8 man)
Guildhest
You can do them all as many times as you want for some extra xp and gil, but you only get an extra gil/tome bonus on your first run of each of the day. Also, it's super fun.

I called this "Booty Roulette" as a joke when I was telling Crystal about it last night... do not google that term if you are at work. Just sayin. 
I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but the class bonus on the roulette seems to adjust every time you click on it.
I've seen it switch from tank to healer to tank (to even DPS! Briefly at least...) on there before.
It also seems like a good recommendation of which class has the least wait.

Well I got the 800 from doing the roulettes and 1 additional WP... not difficult at all to do now...
