Ok, our Bards have some changes made to them.
Are you changing your rotation? If so, what will your new rotation be?
Keeping your rotation the same? Explain why?

I'm open to all information, always looking to improve my damage output.

I suggest rerolling as warrior.

No but really, what are the specifics of the changes? I know the lack of mitigation on Rain of Death... was there anything else? I think I remember hearing a nerfed blood for blood.

LOL Warrior. My lancer is 34 and my monk is 15. I like ranged play.

There is no real change. They just reduced the damage on two abilities and took off the utility of another. So really, your bards get to save more TP and use the same rotation as before.

Unless I've been completely ignorant to some of the changes, I don't think there's much you'll do differently.

Blood for Blood has been nerfed somewhat for non-Dragoons, so it will be less effective. Internal Release has been nerfed for non-Monks as well. Hawk-eye has changed to have some possible use for non-Bards (it now guarantees perfect accuracy). Shadowbind has a longer cooldown. Rain of Arrows has a different debuff.

But none of this should really change the rotation as far as I can tell. Borrowed buffs are just going to be less effective than they were, but not completely useless.

Well, AOE "rotation" has changed for me. It was already very iffy to use Wide Volley for procs of Rain of Death. Now, Rain of Death his worthless outside of procs and questionable even with them.

I was already leaning towards Quick Knock spamming, but now I think that's the clear AOE winner.

Otherwise, it's the same. Keep all buffs and dots up, Spam Heavy shot until Bloodletter or that Crit move procs.

Good spot, less TP, same damage, no need to Wide Volley for procs. Does make me wonder what they were thinking when our best AOE ability is now Lvl 18.

Actually true. From what i've been seeing is Warriors out-dps'ing actual DPS jobs. And out-tanking everyone else. Someone really didnt think at all when they suggested this update. There was nothing wrong with warriors before (One warrior could single handedly tank some Coil bosses), but now they're starting to look like the best DPS and Tank rolled into one. If only they could heal as well. Till that time, WAR, WAR, WAR, <healer> is your best party setup for anything.

Except your LB bar will be nerfed to kingdom come because of the multi-job party thingy....

Our AoE is fine. Our old rotation no longer works. BLM feels clunky and...not fun. :(
