The server forums for XI turned into a wasteland years ago.
I think the FC recruiting forum is good enough. Most of the issues we're encountering in the game are not server specific, but universal to all servers, and the general forum is the best place for those topics.

I did mean to note that they turned into a slum. I agree. I wanted to hear other views.

You don't even use the job forums.
I look at them from time to time. Wints fishing guide is very helpful. I just don't post because my experience is that, if its not conforming knowledge or ways of playing, people look at you funny and make you feel bad about your decisions. Even when they are not "wrong."

I also think that in XI we had a stronger sense of Community. No disrespect for other MMOs but you have to remember that XI was in a Pre-Ease of Access MMO era. Most of us have seen the anger caused during SW:TOR when it was launched without a "Dungeon Finder" and most can now see the "LF X Class for Y Instance - Please Be Geared" that has stemmed from WoTLK which prohibits adequately geared persons from joining groups due to others wanting the grossly overgeared.
The sense of Community isn't what it used to be. I'm not blind to the fact that XI had its own share of jackasses and whackapples, but since all grouping was done within the server during the time I played those were few and far between because it would effect their own ability to get things done. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adored the Good Players/Bad Players Threads that popped up in Garuda's Server Forum back in the day, but now it's just not necessary.
Good point.
