I'm sure some or most of you already know this, but I'm betting there's a few of you out there who, like me, weren't aware of this:

During those 5 hour cutscenes that you go through so often in this game, if you press enter, your chat window comes up and it doesn't disrupt the cutscene in any way! I had been missing out on chat a lot when the cutscenes were happening and it was driving me crazy! Especially when I had just asked a question, not realizing that I was about to go into a cutscene! Smiley: tongue

I mostly hit ESC twice and skip the cutscene's I've all ready seen from prior play.

how does one close the chat box? lol
I had hint enter and was suck with a chat box in my way :p

One does not simply hide the chat box.

(Yes, I realize this thread is 2 years old, but I was just researching a way to accomplish this very thing. This is what I've found)

With numlock on, press 1 on the keypad. This brings up controller mode pointing to the log.
Press * (asterisk) on the keypad. This brings up a dialogue to hide the chat window.
You have to click the option, pressing enter doesn't work.
