I'll say that Yoshi was deliberately vague about the release time frame, because he didn't want to get anyone's hopes up. It was the fanbase who added up all the time between beta phases and bug fixes and came up with "summer."

Right now if they said it'd be out in November, it still wouldn't really be a "delay" because they never gave us a hard and fast date to compare it with.
