Hiya,

I was browsing around earlier trying to find info on what payment options would be available once the PS3 version comes out, but no luck - Maybe too soon to tell now, but I'm wondering if they would allow use of PSN cards, or linking their Crysta system to those PSN cards? Or just not deal with Sony at all and use their own system? Hrm.

Thoughts?

Most likely payment methods will all still be done via the secure.square-enix.com site.

Indeed. It's highly unlikely that the ps3 will have its own separate payment system or exclusive method of paying.

yeah youll have to use a credit or debit card.. PSN cards dont work.. only reason DCUO and Free Realms can do it is because those are Sony games....

if you dont have a debit/credit card

http://www.bluebird.com has you covered... I got that specifically FOR FFXIV when it hits lol

I have a debit card, but its from a chinese bank lol. Not sure how well that would serve me for FFXIV or that website you mentioned. I've been in china for the past 2 1/2 years now (from the states). Great place! Just not so great for things like this - Hard to pay for things here online that seemed so simple and fast back home ><

Even PayPal is tough to setup. I heard PayPal accepts UnionPay (which is the name of the cards here), but setting up and linking a unionpay card to paypal is harder than trying to convince a transvestite that he's really a man.

Edit - Lol cant post URLs I guess. How did you do yours? ><

Sure, just post it (no wrapper in tags).

If you want to have alternate text for the url, do [link="URL HERE WITHOUT QUOTES" ]Alt Text Here[ /link]

Remove the spaces in the link tags obviously.

@ DuoMax... Hey, so that blue bird card doesn't have any monthly fee's at all? I read through somethings, but just thought it was to good to be true. And if not, is there a fee to add money to the card?

nope no monthly fee at all and you also dont even have to pay for the card (well you do if you but it out of walmart but if you order it online and wait for it in the mail then its completely free) also putting money on the card can be done at a register in walmart and its free..

the only charges are a 2 dollar charge for withdrawals through atm and a 2-3 dollar charge if you transferred money from a debit/credit card to your bluebird card...

so basically if youre not withdrawing money from the card and just reloading it at Walmart registers (using cash as opposed to transferring from a debit/credit card to the bluebird card) and all your doing ifs using it for FFXIV and normal online purchases (or swiping the card in stores) then its completely free

Thanks man! I really appreciate the info on that. Sounds like a great deal for all internet purchases. Always hated using my debit card. Thanks again.

I'm allowed to have as many checking accounts as I want with my bank for free so I made a second one for online purchases only that has very little money in it. Good way to go if you have the means.
