Will I need my old FFXIV Data?Follow

I have FFXIV installed onto an external hard drive. I plan to play again @ ARR launch. I was first planning to un-install from my external and put on my internal before ARR, but am now wondering if I will need any data at all from the old FFXIV. Does anyone have an info on this subject?

Yes you can just uninstall it. ARR will be using a completely brand new client available to download (for free since you have a FFXIV account) when its out.
