No, the alpha pretty clearly shows a character jumping over fences and jumping off some cliffs.
They could get really funny with it, off very high cliffs, where if you tell your character to jump it looks like it's about to, then it panics and steps a few feet back instead.
Now if we can find away to bump people we'll have a sport called FINAL FANTASY XIV EXTREME FISHING! Jerks of the world will push the fisherman off some on the more beautiful eorzean cliffs... into the ocean. Hmmm looks like they'll have to hire goblins to patrol all the dangerous cliffs in the world to keep us off the cliffs.
