On November 1st I would start having NMs and Primal's gear drop at 100% and even have normal monsters drop sweet gear at a high rate. Imagine killing a shroom and getting a Monk Relic? haha. "Dude, I just killed a swarm of bees and they dropped 1mil gil!" It doesn't matter at that point. Maybe not the gil but the items would be cool.

Have 100% melding and have level IV materia creation from spirit-bonds... haha

I'm just saying. Give something memorable. Maybe that wouldn't be fair as a tease but it sure would be fun. I'm up for it, anyone else?

That idea reminds me of the XI end of beta event, with the NMs spawning outside of the main cities. Even the GM's were out hacking away at them.

I wish I had been there for the FFXI end of beta, it looked pretty fun. Everyone gathered outside in someplace like West Ronfaure where lead GM Sage Sundi summoned and fought a bunch of the games boss NMs. It was kinda like an exhibition for the beta testers to showcase some of the mobs that would be making appearances in the final game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for something memorable during the final days of 1.0, or during the beta for 2.0. However. the fact that they didn't have any such event for 1.0 end of beta makes me think they may have given up on them. FFXI had special icons for Sage Sundi and Azagba (Tanaka's FFXI character); I don't think FFXIV has any special icons other than the GM helmet icon.

That would be awesome! All they would have to do is reskin the Nael Van Darnus model to have a red metal look to it like the other GMs, then use that as their Lead GM / Producer avatars.

I remember that. Everyone I was with was getting the crap kicked out of them by Capricious Cassie. There was a GM Dragoon and everyone was drooling over his AF. Ah...the good ole' days.

I loved being a PS2 beta tester for FF XI. I'm hoping I get in for the PS3 FFXIV beta too.
