Previous MMOs set a standard for what to expect in terms of service for your subscription fee. I'm sure that there will be people who absolutely refuse to pay more as they are on a budget, but I think most would agree; if you're going to charge significantly more for a subscription, the content, the updates and the gameplay all need to scale according to the standard set by previous MMOs.
