Ah, that makes sense. I know I mentioned it in my earlier post but I am really disappointed in the lack of area diversity in this game. I am now level 40 and am still running levequests in Thanalan fighting dodos (painted black and called cockatrices). Gosh I remember in FFXI every 4-5 levels or so you moved to a new, entirely different locale: Ronfaure> La Theine Plateau> Batallia Downs>The Dunes>Qufim Island>Altepa Dessert> AHT URGHAN!!....you get the idea. It's like Tanaka focused solely on delivering "great graphics" and nothing else. I eagerly anticipate 2.0 but as far as 1.0 is concerned, I would take those great experiences, locations, and mob varieties from FFXI in a heartbeat.
