UK player - Extreme latency, anyone else having this?Follow

So about 30 minutes ago I was trying to set up my retainer, my latency is always fine (green) sent in the 60's received in the 40-50's, however the received dropped to 0 and went red.

It was intermittent but frequent, so I thought I would shut the game down, restart my computer and the internet hub, but this hasn't worked. I can't even connect to the FFXIV site (It states it's loading, but will never show anything on the page, just plain white) I cannot get the log in screen to load, on the occasional time it has, I entered my details and it would say it's loading, but nothing happens.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

My speed tests are fine, showing I have good speed (30MB) other sites load instantly, just FFXIV has issues.

As the title says, I am a UK player.

I'm back in the US now, but was in the UK on BT since the release of the game up until about 2 weeks ago... never had any issues

*EDIT* Just because your internet speed is fine doesn't mean it's working right. Check for packet loss and such. Also ensure you've port forwarded and such.

I had a few issues about 8pm for roughly an hour but it soon cleaned up. I'm on BT Internet.

If its not too personal a question, where do you live? Some London boroughs (south west especially) suffer for very high contention ratio's on VM's exchange kit.

Almost all the ISPs in the UK use BT lines, the only ones that don't are some of the cable options
